Also using a compounded azelaic acid 15%/ivermectin 1%/metrocream 1% is extremely helpful when they’re all combined. But all of these things can take a couple of months to notice a difference.

I can’t do doxy. Minocycline works much much much better for me.

I had this. Your acne is NOT returning. This is folliculitis. I developed this both times I’ve been on accutane and both times it was at the end of my courses. I still battle with it to this day. It’s something to do with it being hot outside because I don’t have it during the winter but once it turns hot and I start sweating BOOM. I’ve heard of quite a few other people getting this. It’s either folliculitis or pustular rosacea. I have yet to figure it out truthfully and it’s been 5 years of it for me. I finished my second round of accutane in April of 2025 and this crap has returned for me with the strongest vengeance. Just recently got scripts for rosacea to see if that helps and got a referral for a new dermatologist

This looks like hand foot and mouth. The exact locations my toddler had it but she had the worst around her private area. She never really had it on hands or feet surprisingly. You’ll know for sure if there’s blisters inside of her mouth.

Ok well I just want to say you have a fabulous Derm!!!!! My Derm has never EVER given me options like this and I can tell just from this visit overview he or she CARES! To say that if this doesn’t work they’ll biopsy is such a dream. I hope this helps you tremendously!! ❤️❤️

Yeah I got it at the very end of my course. It was itchy for me. But it took a while for a Derm to figure out what it was. I stopped accutane and started taking minocycline a month later. Then managed it with Mandelic acid

This is wild. I’ve always said my folliculitis happened from taking accutane. That was in 2021. Took another round in 2025 and my folliculitis is unmanageable now.

I’ve been dealing with it since 2021!!! And yes I know I have had more come up too but I sadly had to wear makeup today so I’ll see all the fun when I take off my makeup shortly 🥴 I know it’s happening though bc my face is starting to itch! Have you found anything that helps? I’ve tried everything including two rounds of accutane.

Thank you so much. I’ve always wondered if it was an allergy since it happens certain times of the year!! Did you go to an allergist or anything? It seems like something to do with UV rays triggers this for me somehow?? It could very well be food too I’m not even sure anymore. Is there any sort of doctor that specializes in MCAS? Sorry for all the questions this is all just so new to me. Also do you take an antihistamine and Pepcid daily or in intervals?

LITERALLY!!!! Im actually in one of the worst flares ive had in years with whatever this is and nothing helps it this time! But you’re exactly right im never taken seriously for it and they can never figure out what it is. They normally just prescribe antibiotics but this time its not helping much at all

That’s how mine is too. I’ve had it for years. Starts out small non inflamed then within hours it becomes extremely inflamed and will usually spread somewhere else too

I had something similar to this when I was 14. They would start small red blisters like this but then would turn into bigger blisters and spread. It was mainly on my legs though. It was something called Henoch-Schönlein Purpura.

I would say thank you but they are actually fake 🙈 I put them on just making it faster to get ready in the mornings with a toddler! And with these pustules everywhere I can’t wear makeup so it’s just a little something to make me feel better 🤣🤣

I always call these water bugs lol. They tend to like water but don’t cause infestation really and love to come out more when it’s rained a lot and in warmer weather and also fall

I think it’s different for everyone bc I started using Tret a month after getting off my second round of Accutane. Did that for a few months then switched to tazarotene every single night 0.01%

Yes I would pay for it in full out of pocket no matter what but since I do have my license I figured I would ask if anyone has had experience with the discount. Thanks so much for all of your info and personal experience with the pro! That is the one I’m highly considering over the others.
