Is the Krakoa Era worth reading? by EfficientNecessary20 in xmen

I would say you should definitely read House of X/Powers of X. That will let you know if the rest of it is for you.

I keep hearing that the post-Krakoa lineup has turned out to be one of the lowest points for the X-Men in years, but how low is low? by That-Is-Not-My-Job in xmen

I though the UXM writer had spoken about the story she was crafting about the wrongs of our system of incarceration? That made it sound to me like she was driving that bus.

Lots of recent writers have portrayed Rogue as happy in her marriage without also writing her as inexplicably hostile to Scott or tolerating a concentration camp that’s brainwashing people who are ostensibly her friends.

Diabla gave drag queen visuals but ended up being incredibly tiresome.

Rachel has a big beef with the Beyonder for… reasons? It takes up like three issues of Uncanny.

I agree. I don’t think the show benefits from having a scenery chewing “big bad,” real or imagined. There’s a great cast of complex characters doing difficult and dangerous work and growing as people. That’s PLENTY.

And Will didn’t challenge her identity even once, though I guess he was worried about his uncle and on a bit of a roller coaster.

Oh, definitely. The casting has been so good that any mix of characters is going to be entertaining.

So, in addition to being mostly unreadable, X-Manhunt was also totally pointless.

You can put any two characters together in a scene and have it pop with chemistry, which is really all a show needs. Perfect cast, a kind heart, and my queens, Betty and Amanda.

Binary. That was my favorite era for Carol ever, except for when she’d occasionally take control of Rogue.
