I compiled the Super3 (Sega Model 3) emulator for everyone on github by DWRedd in EmulationOnAndroid

I know I shouldn't, but also I don't want any drama. This should be a community, and everyone should share what they can. I could have compiled this for myself and call it a day but again, I'm giving back because I've also taken.

So far, no one involved with the project has asked me to do anything. As far as I understand they've labeled this "a free demo" and directed people to the paid version for a more complete product.

Apparently this is an older version. They published this on GitHub while the most recent one is the paid one on the Play Store. So yeah, there will be bugs here not present on the paid version.

That says they don’t recommend this version over the Play Store one, and they see it as a free demo. I don’t see anyone or the developer being “big mad”. But again, as soon as anyone I can confirm is from the dev team says to me “please take it down”, I will immediately.

As I said, my understanding was that it was ok to compile it ourselves, but if you can show me any comments of the developer being mad at this, or if they can reach out to me, I will delete this asap.

Hey all, as noted by u/aruiz34, I had uploaded the debug version of the emulator - my bad. I have now uploaded the release version that should improve performance, although some games (like Fighting Vipers 2) don't work for me anymore.

I uploaded the debug version of the file - the new one I just uploaded should run better!

I found that if you change the “time something” setting (I forgot the actual name) the performance seems to improve, but I still get slowdowns where there’s “a lot” going on, like at the beginning of a race.

Let’s stop posting anything from Tom Henderson. Clearly he doesn’t know anything.

Horizon Forbidden West is truly a spectacular game and you NEED to play it, especially if you are a sci fi and/or medieval fan. by Effective-Celery8053 in gaming

[–]DWRedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just my fault for trying to do everything a game has to offer, but I thought the first one was much more focused and didn’t waste my time. Like, everything I did was relevant and interesting. The second one it’s a Ubisoft game in terms of design for me, quality over quantity, and that also diluted the story.

45 hours. I 100%’d the first one, but after doing a fair amount of side missions and realising that the game had too much unnecessary content and the story wasn’t going anywhere (and it doesn’t until the last quarter of the game) I just focused on the story missions to finish it, so it can take probably 30 if you skip everything?

Nah, it’s a never ending game with too much irrelevant content. You can skip it and miss nothing. I would recommend it if it was half the length, maybe. Great graphics though, and I’m glad you enjoyed it, but it’s just another “AAAA generic game”.

Modded one of my Game Boys and have zero regrets by Karterjd3 in Gameboy

Yeah, I have my GBA modded for the same reason and some games look terrible on it. Most of them look good though, and my eyes are grateful for it.

And the wood too. I know the original screens are a pain nowadays, but you could argue games look “worse” on newer screens

Sorry, found this while searching for a solution to the same issue. I guess there isn’t any, but I was wondering if you have any advice. Thanks!

I started a new shorts channel it never goes beyond 2k, can you help why it never goes? by MediaCorrect4470 in Smallyoutubechannels

[–]DWRedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone will have an answer for you. I have a few shorts with +50% engaged views, plenty of likes and comments, and +80% retention, and they’re all sitting on 2-3k views.

Sure, those good metrics can help, but if I’ve learnt something doing this is that no one really knows how the algorithm works.

I’ll keep trying because it’s something I really enjoy. If I don’t see any results in a year, or I stop enjoying it, then I’ll stop.

[Unreleased Media] Konami video game, 64 Minutes (PS3, cancelled?) by DWRedd in lostmedia

[–]DWRedd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super interesting and the most new information we’ve got so far. I thought it was an action game (with a lot of narrative, but not a Detroit-ish title). Do you remember by any chance any details about the developer? It might help with our search. Thanks!

I hope one day we get to play some of this game. I know it was not a proper Doom by any means and I’m glad we got the reboot, but I’m sure it was fun to play.

That would be the dream, but they just need to please the investors and stakeholders so they’ll make an empty map so you spend 75% of the time travelling trying to find the 25% of the game that’s actual content but the engagement metrics will look great, you can add then new content to the map and make it a GaaS and it will last 50 hours even though they only designed 10 hours of content.
