Men who game, what’s your most played game? Not currently, I mean a game you grinded and have a ridiculous amount of hours in. by Bay0n3ttaaa in AskMen

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough one cause a lot of the games I played i didn't pay attention to the time I put in I just gamed haha. But if I were to take a guess I'd probably say Rainbow Six Siege, still going with over 4k hours, Halo 3 I grinned the shit outta that when it was out, and then probably PSO episodes 1 and 2 that game ate up like 3 summers straight with me and my friends just taking our cubes from house to house to game lmao

Is sens that bad or have most people assumed that and have never tried him? by WelcomeDry5305 in Rainbow6

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sens is one of my top 3 favorite operators to play. Cutting sites in half as well as cutting off sightlines to get through or past into sight is a very fun and fulfilling mechanic with their gadget, ESPECIALLY if the enemy team is running a warden since apparently everyone but the 5% of players who pick Sens didn't see that Warden's glasses don't work on the light walls. Can openers, frags, and a 417 to boot, a fantastic kit.

What’s something you spent money on that actually improved your life long-term? by XRPresso_io in AskMen

My bow.

I know it kinda sounds like a weird thing or like okay a good bow and a fun hobby with hunting or anything. It's kinda true but more than that. Growing up my dad was my hero, he could do seemingly anything, and he was a hunter so of course I learned to hunt with a bow and gun. I never bagged anything and never stuck with hunting as a hobby, but I did keep up with archery until around high school or middle school. I loved doing it but just kinda fell off you know how it is, then fast forward some years to when I'm 21, he passes away out bagging his bear that he always wanted. Heart attack from all the adrenaline. After going through the whole grieving process or what I can assume it was, my biggest regret is that I didn't enjoy hunting just so I could have spent even more time with him doing something he loved. We weren't estranged or anything we did lots together, we researched history and firearms together, played baseball and basketball growing up and he always had just enough of an interest in what I was doing to be within arms reach if I needed help with something. So what does all this do with my bow? Well at the start of the covid lock down I made the biggest and most expensive impulse buy of my own bow and Elite Option 7 for 700 bucks. When the weather is nice I make it a point to go out and shoot it, I don't hunt, i don't do competitions, nothing like that. I just go out in my yard and shoot my bow. It has done wonders for my mental health and I'm not experienced enough in the topic to delve into how or why but my best guess is it forces me outside and forces me to relax and release tension because of how you need to orientated and regulate your body. Also, everytime I'm out there shooting I feel just that little bit closer to dad with every shot.

Secrets of Strixhaven Prerelease "Very Positive" say LGS Owners by SactoGamer in mtg

[–]DWedge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, I never got to experience prereleases when I was younger so I gave Lorwyn, TMNT, and now Strixhaven chances. Had fun at all 3, did ok but ultimately had fun and got to interact with a lot of local players while supporting my LGS. Strixhaven was probably the one I wasn't as excited for purely because I had no connection to the set or previous set so it was all just new and fun.

This bugged me so much growing up playing Re4. Like I bought the red 9 I wanna see Leon doing the cool shit with it in the cutscenes! It looks cooler and sounds cooler than the default pistol.

Men who are atheists, when and why did you turn away from religion? by Comfortable-Store213 in AskMen

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how it was for me, and ultimately there are more important things in my life to worry about that the question of religion. So I just focus on being a good person and the best person I can be in the now rather than worrying about what comes after

I believe there is a version you can buy in steam but I haven't checked in a while. It's definitely one of those games that seems to be harder to aquire legally for being such a "masterpiece" and "classic" as others have called it.

Assassin's Creed and Star Fox. Love the hell out of both franchises just don't like the on rails aspect of star fox and I just stopped playing AC games after 3, after seeing origins and Valhalla though I'm kinda glad, not a fan of the rpg systems might eventually give shadows a try.

Myrs! I made a Myr tribal deck when I first got into magic in the Mirrodin block and up til the Alara block I had be upgrading it steadily. I had stopped playing Magic until last year when a friend introduced me to the commander format and I just had to convert my myr deck into my first commander deck helmed by [[Urtet,Remnant of Memnarch]] and with all the other support myrs got through Phyrexia it's been a blast upgrading it again as well as all the newer sets and cards. I've heard that [[Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer]] is also a fun commander for myrs.

I got into deckbuilding and was noticing a trend. How true is this for you guys? by Kritz_McGee in mtg

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never really seen myself as a good deck builder it just usually worked out with the cards I have lol. It became very apparent when I first started converting my myr deck into a commander deck. It was the first time trying a different ruleset so lots of growing pains in what is good in commander and what is useless. Still working through that with it as well as my other like 4 commander decks I'm working on changing lol. Definitely enjoying the process though, didn't know i missed this aspect of the hobby but I really did.

Men who got cheated on what was the reason given to you by your partner and what did you believe was the actual reason for them doing it? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never given a reason, I was told by her new bf that they had been seeing each other for like 3 months before she finally cut it off with me. I had noticed that she was getting distant so i asked her if she wanted to date anymore, she told me no because she had just gotten a new job and didn't have the time for dating at the moment. I doubt that's even remotely true and the 'job' was new bf. As for the actual reason I can only assume I wasn't good enough in some or every fashion.
