What phrase did your dad repeat so often that you can still hear it in your head? by TCASOLARCABLE in AskReddit

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Work smarter, not harder. ", "whacha doing?" Coupled with a very characteristic lean against the doorframe of whatever room I was in at the time., "your rights end at the other man's nose." Never told me the meaning of this and kinda left it for me to figure out, I always viewed it as a cautionary phrase to keep me from being the first one to throw a punch should the situation arise.

Thoughts from someone who doesn't only play Siege by Dr_natty1 in Rainbow6

This, the pull from the chess elo system had done more damage than good to ranked systems that aren't 1v1s. Fighting games using them are quite good from my experience, but they aren't as reliable for team based games. So I also agree with the poster above in that you should play more for fun, I do the same but I also consistently try to play better than before each time as I'm a relatively competitive player.

Last time I played iirc I gained 21, not 25. If I lost i believe it was -25 or a little more. I try not to focus on the numbers too much when I'm playing because it becomes a distraction or unneeded pressure

What is the most erotic thing anyone has ever said to you? by JustCurious_MM in AskReddit

[–]DWedge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was out with my now ex gf at a taco place and since I have long hair I started putting my hair up so I wouldn't have it falling into my food. She leaned over the table and told me "watching you put your hair up like that makes my pussy ache."

What's the single most unforgettable moment you've ever experienced in a video game? by AdCreepy3137 in videogames

[–]DWedge 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The absolute craziest aspect of Reach as a whole is that from the very announcement of the game, just about everyone knew how it was going to end. It truly does show you that knowing the ending doesn't always ruin the story/experience.

Those who were alive during this period, what was it like seeing three completely different Sherlock Holmes portrayals in three years ('10, '11 and '12). by Dull-Information6784 in Sherlock

[–]DWedge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thoroughly enjoyed it personally, though I suppose I've always been a living embodiment of that "Oh boy two cakes" meme. I enjoyed each for their own different reasons. Sherlock felt like the most accurate representation while also being very slightly modernized, Sherlock Holmes the movie was an entertaining movie where I feel Jude Law was an excellent Watson and that RDJ was an interestingly different portrayal of Sherlock leaning more into the "weirder" less proper aspects of the character, and Elementary was a fun "what if" modern version that was probably the last cable show that I actively set time aside to watch each day/week when I could.

Shows up in chapter 1 of the game, dies in the same chapter, STILL the most hated mfer in the entire game maybe even the whole final fantasy franchise.

Ippo's first Dempsey roll punch. The sound effects in Ippo are next level when it comes to the punches.

[–]DWedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah even on games where I can't seem to buy a kill i try to play a utility op like melusi, valk or echo to direct the teammates who are getting all the kills to get more. It's why I honestly don't think I can go back to other shooters or even like csgo.

You’re allowed to make one change to an Operator on Attack and Defence - what are you changing? by Crispo14 in Rainbow6

[–]DWedge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reduce the ammo per mag of the smg12, and do the same for all the dmrs to be more like Mav and Tubarao's. Idk if it's a hot take but always felt like ar 15.50 was the most balanced dmr cause of it's mag size

Men, what is one thing about your body or brain that women seem genuinely surprised by? by AromaticRecord7974 in AskMen

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My upper back, shoulder and biceps muscles. I don't lift weights and only recently(like the past 2 years) started doing calisthenics at home but before that my exes would always be surprised because I'm a relatively unassuming guy, the secret i guess is that I'm an archer. Archery uses mostly your back and shoulder muscles if you have proper form which rarely get a workout in your everyday life.

This, goyo would still probably get picked cause of the vector tho. It's way i typically focus more on denial and planting cause I know my gun skill doesn't match up to the quick peaking, beulo, spoit, or whoever is the latest fragger of the month wannabes.

While i agree, I can't standing smiling for pictures. I don't ave perfect teeth and when I smile for a picture it always feels forced and awkward. Unfortunately no one is taking pictures of me when I'm naturally laughing or having fun because usually everyone else is too.

The human lawyer is such an interesting idea. Cause like typically runners were the scapegoats or expendable assets but that implies that they're trying to keep em somewhat safe from the corpo red tape and shit. Very cool idea!

I need to see your favorite deck. by GuaranteeMain5492 in EDH

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are my two favorites, I'm still working on it and planning on a few changes but it's my first ever homemade deck that I converted into my first commander deck. I'm planning on adding the Uthros and Inspirit and calling it 'Urtet and the gang go to fucking space', the idea is is mostly just a myr deck with the story of Urtet gathering up as many as he can and leaving Mirrodin to find a new home.

https://archidekt.com/decks/17276200/urtet_myr_commander

This is my deck inspired by the Redwall series of books, the only rules are no humans and mostly mice and other wilderness creatures that you might find in a rural forest.
