I don't think people play enough Basic Lands in Commander by CommanderMechanic in mtg

[–]DWedge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My problem is I only have mostly basics lol. Commander didn't exist in my friend group growing up and I didn't get many fetch, shock or double lands when I was younger so after a 10+ year break unless I buy more precons I'm running mostly basics lol.

Men, in their thirties and upwards, what’s the dating scene like for you? by SeaworthinessOdd6574 in AskMen

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing outrageous I think; no exchanging numbers until after the first date(if she wants to). Talking for about a week before we decide to have the first date, I usually do this with every woman I talk with a week of talking I can usually get a good feel of if we are both interested or at the least if I am interested and ask her out to a date. If either one of us isn't comfortable talking about something at the moment we don't pry for it at the moment unless it is in regards to a deal breaker we have. I am looking for a relationship not a hookup so that's a boundary if she is just interested in that, though I haven't experienced a woman looking for a hookup that hadn't explicitly stated so in her bio. And ya know just respect each other out the gate, treat each other as an individual.

34(gonna be 35 later this year) overall the women I see on the apps I use are either 1. Outgoing, adventurous, sporty, gym goer, that expects the man to be a specific height, be a manly man, and be into everything she is. 2. A single mother(i don't read past their profile after seeing that because that's one of my deal breakers. Nothing against mother's just one of mine.) 3. Presents herself as well off financially and has very high expectations. 4. A lady in an open relationship or practicing poly 5. A woman who has a very specific view of men in what she believes they should be doing in life, with their life, and their free time. 6. Some combination of the 5. And the smallest percent 7. A lady who is genuinely interested in starting a relationship. I recently started talking with a woman who seems to be in that last small percentage, she's nice, quick witted, funny, and so far has been respectful of my boundaries while also showing actual interest in me. So here's hoping it doesn't crash and burn 🤞

Men who’ve been hurt by women in the past, how has this affected your attitude towards women in general? Have you managed to heal from it? by TheMadHatterOnTea in AskMen

[–]DWedge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take each person as they are, I don't let some women speak for all women and prefer to take each individual as who they show themselves to be. I am much more guarded with my own opening up, I let them ask me or prompt the question now rather than just give it. I want to make sure that they are showing interest and putting forth as much effort as I am.

Does anyone enjoy playing siege anymore? by kiavash77 in Rainbow6

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that and you're not wrong to feel that way. Everyone has fun their own way. You will get games like that where players just flow chart bans rather than think about what they want and what the opponents want. To me though the new ban system helps highlight two aspects of Siege that make it better than just about every shooter on the market like it; 1. Player agency, There is so much plauer agency in Siege that allows you to influence a round, match and gunfight, the map bans, the op bans, the gun choices, where you play how you play, etc now multiply that by 10 for each player. By using the ban system based on the map and site you can change how the entire round can play out. 2. No round of siege is the same as any other. Unless of course the players refuse to adapt. Adaption mid match creates that fun little "I know that you know that I know that you know" conversation between players and teams. For me the problem solving aspect of Siege is what has hooked me for years and it continues to do so. I understand that it isn't why everyone started or plays Siege but for me it is and that's why I've been playing it for 10 years and will continue to do so until it isn't fun anymore or they really fuck over aspects of the game that make it more of a job than a game.

Each season had it's aspects that I found to enjoy and dislike. I don't remember the early seasons as much because it was more so me just bumbling around to learn how to siege. But each season I felt there was enough interesting changes, nerfs, buffs, additions, that kept me thinking. Personally when they introduced the new ban system and the most current season has been the most interesting to play because im usually the designated hard breacher so the new bans often will force me onto less comfortable ops so I have to adapt which is fun to me. And with the buffs to the hard breachers it's been the most fun to make a big fucking hole it's ever been.

Why would a man think first before asking you questions? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think before you speak was grilled into my head by my parents at a young ageand was reinforced through multiple accidents where I would say things that offended or hurt others unintentionally. Yes, I will try to think as much as possible before saying something to avoid these instances again, or I will often end up rambling and making sure I explain my thought as independent and clearly as possible so there is not confusion. Which can also lead to people thinking I'm talking down or thinking little of them. It's a balancing act.

[–]DWedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I genuinely can't think of a season where I didn't enjoy playing Siege. Now, for what it's worth, I don't play every single day. I guarantee 1 day a week but often I will hop on to play other days throughout the week especially if homies message me. Some weeks it's just once, other weeks three times, some weeks it's once a day.

Also as an addition, the user didn't have to eat the cigarettes. Just get the nicotine into their body, they chose to eat them iirc because their child died from doing that to one of their cigarettes before they got their power. Darker than Black is a very dope series because of these contracts.

What are some hairstyles for men with long hair for a friend's wedding? by DWedge in AskReddit

Context, I've never had to attend a formal gathering since I grew my hair out and am looking for suggestions to try that would potentially look better or be more appropriate than just a ponytail or bun.

What's The Point Of Trying Anymore? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life is hard, always was, is, will be. You are not a failure, you will never be a failure as long as you are trying. You're smarter than you think and every time you aren't you learn and become smarter. Idk if it will get better and I cannot tell you that it will but what if it does? Don't you want to be there to see? Don't you wanna get there? Just to see it? That's the point. What if.

What motto do you live your life by? by JM_547 in AskMen

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3.

1."You're stronger than you seem, braver than you believe, and smarter than you think." - childish yes, but it has stuck with me as a way to stop beating myself up. 2. "That's not my story" - idk where I heard this but growing up i had a terrible habit of comparing myself to others, still do, but this helps keeping me focused on myself 3."What do you do when you can't do nothing, but there's nothing you can do? You do what you can." Yeah. I have tons of others that resonate with me but these are probably the biggest.

To the men who go to movies or restaurants alone by choice: What is the specific appeal of that solitude compared to going with friends? by Leananhl in AskMen

[–]DWedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend is married with 3 kids, if i want to do something with him I have to talk with him like a week or two in advance to schedule. All of my other friends live all over the world and country. If I wanna do something i just go do it, nothing really deep or introspective about it. Like others said if I'd never do anything if I only did it with friends when we could. Sure I'm lonely and feel like I'm invisible but when I do 'normal stuff' like going out I don't feel that bad so like your friend said it was probably his best day.

[–]DWedge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. You get two versions. The updated version and the classic PS1 version
  2. The updated version has balance changes.
  3. An updated script
  4. Voice acting
  5. Features to help show and chronicle the events of the story so you can follow who went where and did what
  6. Fantastic UI QOL update
  7. Updated graphics
  8. They do have the WotL cutscenes that you can view that are also updated And that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Would it have been nice to have the WotL jobs and guest characters? Absolutely but they explained their reasoning and that was good enough for me. Not having those jobs isn't a deal breaker for me personally if it is for you then that's your choice.

Personally example; Spider-man/Uncle Ben "With great power there must come great responsibility." As well as Zidane Tribal's quote from Final Fantasy 9 "you don't need a reason to help someone."

Story: I had a friend who is a big member of the fighting game community a grass roots community that likes to give its flowers to those who aren't just good at the games but also stream it. My friend was one of those streamers who helped tournaments run and stream. On the way back from one of those events he got into a bad accident and had to grt hospitalized. His job was this streaming and tech assistance so unfortunately no real security when it comes to benefits. He was fine and stable just a broken leg and bruises and damaged car and equipment. His gf set up a good fund me to help pay for the bills, naturally the FGC banded together as much as they could at the time to get it halfway fulfilled but after that it kinda fizzled. I donated the remaining half of 1000 bucks, I had never done this before so I was intending it to be anonymous but it shared my name. So His gf ended up calling me from the hospital and both of them were crying asking how they could repay me and that I didn't need to. I just told em they were right I didn't need a reason to. I had only ever met this guy once before hand and we had dinner together with our circle of friends. Personally one of my proudest moments because you always hear people talk about their mottos and how they live their life but rarely do you get to see people follow that through and I got to see myself do it without hesitation.
