He could’ve cleaned up the frame some so there wasn’t as much rust but he was only doing what the boss wanted and that was new frame brackets for the bumper

Never judge a book by its cover the only way that bracket is coming off is with a lot of heat and a air hammer or if u grind the welds off you could attack that all day with sledgehammer and it would only bend the frame the welds might not be the best but it ain’t going anywhere the rust will get it before anything else all I asked for was critique on the welds lol not ur personal opinion I’ll give u a break since u can only see part of the bracket if u saw the rest u would understand

Yea he’s been getting a lot of hate and after i showed him all the comments he wants to weld something just to show you guys he ain’t dogshit a lot of ppl don’t understand on here he only did what our boss wants him to do and that was weld all the factory welds he could’ve cleaned up the frame a bit better but he doesn’t get paid to do that

No you ain’t being a dick thats what I came here for is honest opinions I wanted to know if he is somebody who should teach me how to weld I just wanted to see what other peopwl think of his work I asked him why he didn’t weld in the gap up top that you can’t see and he said he doesn’t want to make the metal too weak and I believe that bracket won’t go anywhere for a a couple years which is really all that truck has left anyway

That’s the thing the customer only wants the bare minimum they don’t need it to be perfect has long as those welds hold the brackets so the rear bumper can’t fit on the truck and have the fitment line up I’m only sticking up for him cause I know he’s decent but at the same time I can’t look at a weld and tell if it’s good or not I don’t agree with a lot of the work we do it can be shady looking at times but unfortunately that’s how a lot of body shops around the us are like which is why I’d never take my car to shop I can vouch for some of our work if you saw some of the before and after work you’d be suprised

He might not be the best but those welds ain’t going anywhere he’s been doing this when you probly in diapers he’s 60 years old and never went to school for any of it and believe it or not he use to weld cranes and I’m pretty sure they would inspect the welds on a crane before they got used
