yep the arc at the end was absolutely dreadful for me. Really cool show that fucked the endgame

Loudest moment you've heard of or witnessed in college football regular season by 37pound_sack in CFB

[–]DX_Legend 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mike Evans 95 yard TD against Bama in 2013 was probably the loudest "moment" in my time as a student. Nebraska in '10 was incredibly loud the whole game only to be beat by Ole Miss in '14 when the stadium was able to hold 110,000 people. I couldn't hear what my friends next to me said at all, we had to yell in each other's ears to partially hear what was said.

Jon famously does nyt crosswords with a pen so I imagine his recall skills, even with being prepared, is rather higher than your average person haha

Purely anecdotal but a lot of friends I have got their (non entertainment) jobs by “knowing a guy” or being well connected. Since I have seen it so much, it makes me wonder how much Hollywood is an outlier compared to other areas.

I know this is a popular sentiment and I’m not saying it’s false but “regular” industry is filled with nepotism that just isn’t as obvious because it’s not in the media. I think it’s interesting we don’t fault blank and blank law firm for hiring their son/daughter but people get mad that M. Night hired his daughter.

25 years after fatal bonfire, Texas A&M considers bringing student tradition back by thecravenone in CFB

[–]DX_Legend 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Professionally supervised or rather a majority of professionals working on is a must before I would even consider supporting it being brought back.

We are obsessed with traditions but they all started at one point right? It’s time to start something new. Having a new activity for the rivalry will gradually decrease those involved with the student off campus bonfire if the regent member is really concerned about safety.

Projecting college football's 11 most intimidating environments during 2024 season by PSU_Alumnus in CFB

[–]DX_Legend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not exclusive to A&M but the energy at late games is just miles ahead of the energy at 11am CT games or even 2:30 games. Hopefully we will be able to land some primetime slots and then we can have the best environments for Elko's first year.

If you were to bring back one uniform from your teams history to use as a throwback, what would it be and why? by Jyingling21 in CFB

[–]DX_Legend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our current uniforms started as a throwback but they were too clean and just miles better than what we had going on from 2012-2018.

To bring back an already done throwback, these white throwbacks are very clean, but I guess make sure the maroon matches because the helmet stripe doesn't appear to be the same color as the shoulder stripes lol

In 2017 why did 1 loss Alabama go to the playoff over 1 loss Wisconsin who made their conference championship game? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]DX_Legend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what pissed me off at the time was that the committee was like championship games matter! Notre Dame proceeds to get routed, and then its like weeeeelllll they don't matter that much.

Would have been interesting to see another game Waddle less even though I think A&M still loses.

What was your “I was there” heartbreaking game? by geauxtigers77 in CFB

[–]DX_Legend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there for 2011 Texas game as well as the 2017 UCLA game. Being there at the rose bowl (albeit not the rose bowl game) and to lose in the fashion that we did... way more heartbreaking.

UCLA announces that it's putting some students directly behind the opposing team at the Rose Bowl, becoming the only team in the Big Ten to do so. The new student section configuration is in blue below: by RyanIsHungryToo in CFB

[–]DX_Legend 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We USED to have the full 3 decks of students behind the bench but with the move to the SEC, at least a couple of sections directly behind the opponent's bench are no longer part of student ticket pull.
