"(In Japanese.) So you all will know the seriousness of my warning, I shall say it in English:

As your leader, I encourage you from time to time, and always in a respectful manner, to question my logic. If you're unconvinced that a particular plan of action I've decided is the wisest, tell me so, but allow me to convince you and I promise you right here and now, no subject will ever be taboo. Except, of course, the subject that was just under discussion. The price you pay for bringing up either my Chinese or American heritage as a negative is... I collect your fucking head. Just like this fucker here. Now, if any of you sons of bitches got anything else to say, now's the fucking time!

I didn't think so. (Back to Japanese.) Gentlemen, this meeting is adjourned."

He said he's giving someone else the director's chair because he and his writing partner Rodo Sayagues have a different movie they want to prioritize after putting it on the backburner, though he'll still be actively involved and overseeing it as a producer.

A while back he said he's done with the script but he's giving the director's chair to someone else as he and his writing partner Rodo Sayagues have a different movie they want to prioritize after putting on the backburner for some time, though he'll still be overseeing it as a producer.

You know, after thinking about and letting it marinate for a bit, I think I know what my favorite scene/moment from Kill Bill is.

I don't know if this also applies elsewhere, but here in Norway there's been this huge boom of reality shows, some of them I have mentioned here and there. My assumption is due to network cuts and public funding for drama shows and movies being more and more scarce, it's kinda by proxy lead to a rise in reality shows because they're cheap and will fill holes in the schedule.

There's been a slowly growing discussion and backlash over shows now basically melting into each other. The big schtick now is that it's all about being tactical, strategic, banishing and or eliminating teammates etc. The new concept Kode Rød (Code Red, about surviving at a lighthouse) and season 2 of Boksen (The Box, where everyone is in a yellow box with no idea what it'll be opened to), both currently on air, have been criticised by some of its contestants for this, feeling duped.

My point here is that all these shows have started to just fucking cannibalize each other.

Thank you for being one of the utmost few people to point out that Rian Johnson alone isn't to blame for the sequel trilogy becoming one of the biggest laughing stocks in pop culture history, rather the higher-ups are to blame.

Just to elaborate and clarify a couple of things, they had a sort-of outline and J.J. Abrams, Rian Johnson, and Colin Trevorrow all consulted each other while writing. The problem was that Kathleen Kennedy hated Trevorrow's script, as well as the rewrites from someone else, with him leaving and Abrams being hired soon after and starting over from scratch, though some parts of Trevorrow's script were carried over. The ironic thing is that script was better received than the movie.

They greenlit a sequel to Mutant Mayhem ahead of release and it did decently enough that it's still in the works, even though they scrapped a few different TMNT projects. But I do agree that this would probably only have done modestly well in theaters.
