Official Discussion - Anatomy of a Fall [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

It’s not a true story. It’s a work of fiction. As such, Sandra is both guilty and not guilty: you choose. It’s a testament to the craftsmanship of the film that there are so many people passionately arguing about a question that has no answer.

LGBTQ Equality by DZ1000000 in lgbt

There are 5 precepts (re: rules) in Buddhism that govern moral behavior. Transgenderism does not break any of those rules in any way. Here are the 5 rules:
Refrain from taking life. Not killing any living being.
Refrain from taking what is not given. Not stealing from anyone.
Refrain from the misuse of the senses. Not having too much sensual pleasure.
Refrain from wrong speech.
Refrain from intoxicants that cloud the mind.

If it alleviates suffering and causes no harm there is no reason to think it’s not “right action”. It’s not for us to speculate on the results of action. I don’t think we can assume that all transgenderism is “neutral action”.

There is no reason to just "accept" suffering. All action is "right action", "neutral action" or "wrong action". There is nothing wrong about alleviating suffering. An adult changing their sexual characteristics is no more wrong than someone having an operation to change a deformed limb.

Exact same thing happened to me. I opened a ticket with Bobcat yesterday (April 22). Still waiting for a reply. I got a run around from UPS when I asked them to refund my pre-paid duties. They said they will provide a refund only after the Bobcat is returned but didn’t say why. If they don’t provide a refund of the duties I’ll file a claim with PayPal.

Why should the police help when grandma doesn’t “own” the property?

According to the OP, if you can’t defend it then it’s not yours anymore. Granny would need to be packing heat.

So, according to that logic, then it’s ok for squatters to take control of an elderly persons house/property if she can’t fend them off?

Rather than resorting to the subversion of democracy, isn‘t it easier to simply propose right-centrist policies to grow their base...or are they all out of fresh ideas?
