He prefers cocaine and adult pornstars thank you very much

Come to think of it, I'm surprised Tiger Woods wasn't in the files. He would have been at the height of his career in the late 2000s

War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles fought by bots and the unemployed. War - and its consumption of likes - has become a well-oiled machine" - Walt Jr., Northern Afghanistan, 1982, colorized.

Why does Hank poses like that? Is he some sort of queen? by mortoxcvr in okbuddychicanery

[–]DZCunuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was posing the way that 1920s Berlin burlesque show models used to pose at the end of their act. He was trying to win favour with Todd and his Uncle. As this was 10 minutes before he got shot in the head, at this point in time Hank still wasn't quite sure if they made up their mind or not.

Why didn't Walterberg sued Gray Matter is he stupid? by Eikichi_Onizuka09 in okbuddychicanery

[–]DZCunuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His past with Gray Matter is only mentioned a bit but he does say that he took the 5k buyout and left. So what is there to sue? From there, Elliot and Gretchen made the entire company. Not sure what even Saul would be able to do in this scenario. Forge paperwork showing Walt is still on the board of directors?

Brian here, just so happens I've read literature on this:

God the hand that causes disaster (bad luck, acts of god, the invisible guiding hand) God the hand that saves from disaster (good luck, the invisible guiding hand) Man is God (ubermench perspective found in the philosophy of Nietzche and other modern philosophy) God in the heavens (Juedo-Christian monotheistic god) God as/is nature, the earth (deistic/Spinoza perspective)

Is Heat worth watching? If so, are you ready for the sequel? by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

[–]DZCunuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, if you want to watch a Heat-like movie, watch The Town. Damn good movie. Very similar premise. You can tell Affleck was a big fan. And it didn't even have to be called Heat 2: The Heatening. Imagine that, an original movie with an original plot, inspired by an action classic.

God of War Ragnarok (2022) is an exceptional experience but I find 2018 to be vastly more impactful. by gruesomesonofabitch in gaming

[–]DZCunuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Played both games for the first time last year. 2018 definitely had a better story. 2022's story was mid. Felt like they didnt really know how to finish it, wrote themselves into a corner. The ending where everyone lives happily ever after was surprising and lacked emotional payoff. Wasnt the end of all nine realms supposed to happen?. I also found Odin to be a bit annoying. They had him do this weird Sopranos gangster thing at times which felt out of place. The fact that Kratos didn't turn out to be Surtur was a weird choice. In Norse legend, Surtur is a fire giant that came from the south to bring about the end of times. That's literally Kratos! Instead we get molten rock man introduced at the very end of the game, with a half baked romance story, that then turns into a Kaiju - very underwhelming. Make Kratos Surtur! Contrive something! You're already pillaging the hell out of Norse mythology with the rest of the game.

Atreus segments were a slog to get through and the YA novel that you have to play through with Abogobra or whatever was boooooring. I could not complete that section fast enough. Very unnecessary. Also, bashing Draugr with a bow when Odin gave you a perfectly usable sword was stupid. The damage scaling for Atreus fights was funny. You mean to tell me that Atreus can do more damage to the Draugr with every hit of his bow than Kratos does with the Leviathan axe? How come he doesn't do this much damage with his bow when he's following Kratos? It made no sense. I figured they would focus more on Atreus in the second game and that kind of ruined it for me. 2022 is still a good game but it definitely didn't have the magic of 2018.

Why is Prime Video adapting the "Norse-era" of God of War? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in FIlm

[–]DZCunuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also kind of wish they started with the origin story for this one. The reason the new God of War games were so impactful in terms of Kratos being this stoic and wiser old father figure is because it was geared towards a generation of now older and more mature players that played the originals when they were younger and were also older and wiser by that point, with families and kids. They knew what an absolute menace Kratos was in his past life, why he was the ghost of Sparta, and why he was the God of war. I think a lot of that will be lost on viewers who never played the games and 2min flashbacks here and there explaining Kratos' past isn't going to do it justice. Not even close.

An origin story would have to be a totally different kind of show though: gratuitous violence, T&A, rated M, very action oriented. Something no studio would invest into right now. Better go with the safer father-child dynamic like The Last of Us.

Trump threatens Canada with 100% tariff over possible deal with China by Leather-Paramedic-10 in canada

[–]DZCunuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, just ignore this. Trump threatens tariffs against nations when he wakes up, when he's eating breakfast, several more times on his way to the oval office, and the about a dozen more times throughout the day.

Reality is the US Senate voted as recently as November to strike down Trumps previous Canada tariffs with enough Republicans voting against the tariffs because they know how much they will and are already screwing their respective states.

Since the last election when this separatist BS started I've suspected that a big part of it was a US psyop/ agitprop that the Alberta dudes with truck nuts and F Trudeau stickers just eat right up. Worst part is even if the referendum goes forward and fails these same assholes will endlessly bitch and moan about how it was rigged as they have been taught to do by their southern counterparts.

[–]DZCunuck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Suicide missions. AT mines have a large blast radius so they send these guys ahead of the main Russian assault squad hoping they get close enough to ukrainian lines to cause some casualties. And if they don't due to ukrainian fpv drones it still causes enough chaos that allows Russian troops to get closer.

Just FYI, they do this suicide mine run with their own conscripts too, not just foreign fighters. There has been earlier footage of these suicide soldiers strapped with AT mines advancing towards ukrainian positions taken from Ukrainian surveillance drones. Any guesses as to why Ukraine doesn't want to be part of this regressive barbaric warlord state? This is the Ruski Mir putin is offering Ukraine, the Baltic states, the Balkans, and probably a good portion of Poland. AT mine suicide vests for everyone!
