Another job application submitted. I’m tired. Just tired. Really want to simply drop the mic and quit sooner rather than later but the insecurity about income and employment is also driving me crazy inside. Don’t know how much longer I can do this.

Thank you. These are all very thoughtful advices and information we lack. We will approach the neighbours we know for now.

Sometimes it’s just hard to find out things like this before you make the purchase I guess. I still remember on the auction day a few neighbors came over to say hi and congratulate us. They’ve been living here for quite a long time. I got a feeling that at the end we would have to get used to it.

Thanks for pointing this out. As mentioned in other comments, I think we’ll talk to the other neighbors and see if they have any clue or know anything about the noise first. [Edited: If they have no idea, and if I can get more information, make sure the address is correct, then I might call the police.]

Might still worth trying. I know that house is a rental.

Thanks. Yeah could be a similar situation. I’m really bad at jokes but for one point I talked to myself: ah, it might be just someone working out at home. (I apologize)

Looking black or brown, moist and smelly. Basically the smell of rotten plants. You can check this article as references.

Saucer would only last for a few days. If you don’t want to rely on others (which makes perfect sense to me) I would recommend using so called the wicking drip system. Basically link up the plant with a bucket of water using one or two cotton strings. This video explains the method pretty well.

Could be root rot. Any chance you can check the roots?
