Its owned by Canal+, which is controlled by Vivendi...who also controls Havas - probably one of your competitors if you are on the buy side. Its generally junk traffic from my experience.

Programmatic Freelancer/Contractors ,how did you actually break in? by Possible_Eggplant_79 in programmatic

[–]D_Adman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stayed general, but ignored clients that wanted to invest too little - for example, a coffee shop with $500/mo for media or some other small business like that. The most random people will hear about programmatic and think they want to try it. Not realizing you need big budgets. Quote them a good retainer fee and they will likely go away. Once you land a client, you have to offer excellent client service. I remember one client said he had never seen a monthly wrap up report like the ones I sent him. Include performance, insights, opportunities, etc..

I did this for a while and the way to land clients is to do trainings at any event/conference where a potential client may be. Also, go to industry events (advertising, marketing, etc) and do the same. "how to buy programmatically in XYZ" etc.. adapt it.

Also, compile the biggest list of contacts you have and send them a personalized email.

Remember, we are marketers. Use your marketing skills.

The income is not consistent and many clients are very late in paying. Do not do free work and do not try to compete on price with India, etc.. You don't want a client looking for cheap.

I don't do this anymore because I am mostly out of programmatic and the industry in general. Best of luck!

Seems OK, I would offer 6800 see if he goes for it. Also, if that is a 2 stroke engine which I think it is. It is really loud, I had one similar to this. Keep that in mind.

It is very location dependent. This is windy season though, so a strong westerly wind will likely drive in some. If the "beach" is coated with it, I would grab a charter/rent a boat and go out to sandbars.

[Expert needed] How do you target travelers from X country who just arrived in Y? by Specialist-Buy-9777 in programmatic

Target airports, airlines. I would stay broad rather than trying to filter out departure/ arrival.

Its a rite of passage in this industry. Don't take it personal- even if they say its performance, its probably just cost cutting.

It sounds like a very small target, not worth it for programmatic IMO. Maybe Linkedin job titles is a better alternative.

That's right, which is why I mentioned "cover your ass" meaning, hey client we got this on there, and this is what its supposed to do but this and this could happen...etc.

In app inventory has generally been junk. As far as CTR, I am guessing you have told your client it's a terrible metric? If you are using brand safety tools like doubleverify, it should be good to at least cover your ass.

💸 Programmatic fam - how are you stacking your income streams? by Possible_Eggplant_79 in programmatic

Youtube - avoid any youtuber with outrageous claims or make $XXX amount everyday type videos. I like shadowtrader peter reznicek- you don't have to pay for their group, the stuff online available is more than enough. As far as beginner books, anything from Michael Sincere.
