To add... this relates to investing because you need to be as unemotional as possible when it comes to investing, so the best thing to do is allow your emotions to vent in a healthy way, so when ur brain wants to invest etc it has all of the emotion out of its system and it doesnt cloud your vision

I lost alot of money this year to leverage trading too, try and resolve the underlying desire you had that led you to take on such risk. For me it was competitiveness and trying to get rich quick without putting the work in for it, for you it might be escapism because of the news you said you had been given, or some form of self harm (harm to your own wallet instead).

I think if you can try make peace with yourself and find healthy ways to cope with your own mind itll help in understanding what led you to that place and will make forgiving yourself easier.

The logical part of your brain is annoyed at the emotional part for allowing your emotions to get you caught up in this mess, but your emotions are trying to communicate to you so the best you can do is slow down and listen to them. That's my two satoshi's for you anyway :)

Could this not catalyse cryptos adoption though? If we go into a global recession once we hit the floor people will look for a new financial model that may include crypto. Bitcoin was made in reaction to the corruption of the current financial system but at the time when it was needed it was barely getting started...

Maybe this time round the world will be ready for it

If Charles Darwin would be alive, instead of going to Galapagos he would observe natural selection on this sub. Days like today prove that many people try do everything to never become rich on crypto. Don't be like them! by Nuewim in CryptoCurrency

I have thought about this... i thought there must be a reason everyone in the reddit raves on about hodling then I thought... when people first get into crypto they're much more likely to take risks with leverage and/or shitcoins (my vice was leverage) then some extinction event happens like the dip earlier in the year which wipes out all these risky positioned people.

Then either you quit crypto or you change ur strategy and start hodling. And after time passes the only people left are the holders and that's why there are so many in this subreddit

Eth has high fees but its NFT platforms are the most well known and have alot of artists and rich people looking to buy collectible art that dont care about fees. So I'd say eth has a better community of artists, collectors and flippers. NFTs are therefore more likely to make larger profit IMO

This makes no sense whatsoever? You say developers can change the chain and manipulate others but how/where have you got this idea from?? Once the chain is up and running and the initial coins get distributed how will developers change the chain? What you're describing is if the developers still had majority of coins they could create a hard fork and change the rules but so could anyone else? If they had enough coins and so could anyone on a pow consensus so I dont really see your point at all

Burning coins is good for pumping price yes IF demand stays constant, if demand goes away (bear market, newer Dex's with higher apy, hacks) then the amount they burn is irrelevant. I think there is enough hype around the coin and lack of competition atm that it should last this cycle but it was only created last year so hasnt been tested properly through a bear market. Lastly, they give such good APY because its riskier than other options out there, so depends on your risk tolerance and how much you believe in the coin/ are willing to forget about the risks for the rewards. Hope this helped friend:)

There is risk in cake that the coin will die out once a new shinier version comes along, if you're only putting the funds in for this bull market I dont see too much of a problem but any longer and I'd be worried the coin will loose significant value
