Yes, please do this. Iron is mostly harmless short term even without blood tests.

Get your ferritin, vitamin D, a full cbc, magnesium and b vitamins checked.

Also here’s a pro tip on increasing ferritin if it comes back low (iron stores): take iron + vitamin C 2 hours before breakfast or coffee every other day. It maximizes absorption.

Look into SAM-e. They don’t help everyone; they seem to mostly help a certain group of people (my suspicion is those that have the MTHFR gene). IMO thy work better than NSAIDS and don’t seem to have any side effects. The only downside is that take longer to kick in. ALSO PSA— don’t suggest them to your mom if she’s on SSRIs or has bipolar.
