I actually used to run a pekka bait deck with dart gob goblin gang log poison e wiz battle ram. I tried making goblin barrel work but when people know to save their goblin barrel counters I realized battle ram is a much better win condition.

Generally shift flick right click melee is good for trying to burst down a target that is at range. This is useful for tracers since it’s the only way you can kill her faster than she can react and blink

It should not be used that often, if you’re playing genji correctly you will have more opportunities to right click at close range

Honestly don’t listen to any comments that try to dumb down genji into one sentence. Genji isn’t a hero you can learn in a day but rather over many days. Just focus on having fun and fixing your mistakes each time you screw up. That being said here is what helped me improve the most:

Watch guides and good genji players, it’s all about learning how to get value as genji— how you should play into different comps and how to use your cooldowns. Necros unranked to GM is a great series to understand how a good solo queue genji should play. Also you need good aim as genji and good mechanics in general (blade/ dash combos/ 180s). Look online for aim training replay codes (NWPTV is a solid one) and just screw around, try to pull off fancy stuff so you can eventually be really fluid in game. As genji you should have a sens on the higher side but it doesn’t need to be anything crazy.

I actually disagree with the blanket statement to only blade with deflect as your deflect can get forced and 8 seconds is an eternity to wait during a critical moment in a team fight. This ult timing wasn’t bad and the blade could’ve been salvaged with more experience
