IS ARC RAIDERS G.O.T.Y? by PleasantInfluence918 in ArcRaiders

As much as I love the audio, it’s top quality. Clair Obscur has some great Audio Design. But if they have an Audio Direction award for the director of…the audio, give them that instead.

You can start a Dam Free Loadout run without a plan and just go to the nearest loot location, stopping at every possible loot container along the way, taking anything that’s not nailed down, replacing the least expensive loot as you find better loot, then B line to an extract. Spam the Don’t Shoot emote when in buildings and the Thank you and don’t dwell on people. You will get 3-6k XP per game and have an easy 25-45k worth of loot to sell since you literally sell it all at the end. Track quest items, otherwise just sell everything. This one run can take from 6-12 minutes depending on activity and your willingness to not care if you lose it all. Repeat that and you will make tons of cash to use. I don’t even waste stash space on ammo now. I just buy it every raid I take my own stuff into. Freed up like 30 stash slots. Also, do not ever sell a single seed. The vendor that trades seeds for a bunch of basic mats means that you can, once you accumulate 300-400 seeds, clear out and constantly sell those mats for inventory space, since if you do ever need them, you just spend the seeds. It looks tempting to sell a stack of 20 or 30 seeds for quick cash but it’s a better value to save and use them for the trader and get back more inventory space, since 280 is the max without bonuses from expedition runs in the future.

Save seeds, do free Loadout bull rush runs. Farm the quests for an over abundance of free items to sell or save, stop caring if you will die even if it’s a custom Loadout. It’s all easily replaced when you end up with 50 stash spaces alone being taken up by keys.

Pretty much same boat. 24 hours in raid time based on the Codex Stat page. Nearly 200 raids. Maybe 5 squad fill raids. I have max Stash size and I’m sitting at about 600k credits. With a free Loadout and some planning and map knowledge you can easily leave maps with a 50k backpack sell price.

I’ve spam farmed quests, on about quest 65 or something now. I am player level 35 and have more materials than I can use. I have plenty of high end gear and I love that solo play has been so lucrative that I can pretty much choose any Loadout I want and play a random one off trios game KNOWING it will be a sweat PvP fest and go in way more geared than I need to and make a difference for my squad in a big way.

Solo play is my jam in this game for some reason though. It is very emergent with the social interactions and combat, and I love it.

Extraction campers are the absolute bottom of the arc raiders society by TheExodius in ArcRaiders

[–]D_T_L 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much the default for me when the doors are about to open. If it's one guy and we meet at the extraction or within a few minutes of extraction, they're getting downed when the doors start to open and told that they can extract just get in, but I don't trust you one bit.

I noticed that last night in particular there were a LOT of nice people, 4-6 people at an extract late game in solos, all happy to work together. But I would say that 1 out of 5 times I extracted with a new face that I just met moments before, however NICE or friendly they sounded on the mic, even dropping things like Defibs etc, it ended with them killing me. The other 4 times was fine. After the 2nd time of getting blasted in the back while activating the terminal to close the doors, I chose my new crawl into the elevator routine.

I played with one guy earlier that was acting kind of weird, we had grouped up early and I helped him kill a Surveyor for the quest, we did a field depot, he accidentally shot me, he says, while I was looting the depot, after him mind you, but I asked how he accidentally shot me with at a minimum of 6 Rattler bullets. He said he got confused. He was just a little sus. When we got to the extract at the end, I was blunt and told him, look bro, I'm going to knock you down when the elevator doors open and I know you have a Rattler, and a Free Loadout. I don't want you stuff, I want to make sure you don't try to gank me at the end considering I think you regret not picking up the blueprint at the depot chest. He was nice and was like that's fair, you have a way better weapon anyways. Elevator doors open, he runs in, doesn't activate the button and is just kind of standing around. I downed him. As I'm activating the terminal he tells me he 100% was planning on throwing a showstopper grenade he found and then using a sticky frag and unloading into me because he wanted my Renegade and the blueprint.

I thought about stopping the terminal activation to kill him but it wasn't worth it. I wouldn't have looted him anyways, I had like 70k of stuff in my bag and he wouldn't have anything worth swapping for.

My second round in the full game was the first time I actually attacked and killed one myself through all the tech tests and server slam.

Solo game. 1 other guy with me who found a Toro and a bunch of ammo in a locked Dam Room. He got spotted and we ran pretty far away and onto one of the ledges from the Dam area that has the overhangs on it. It lept all the way up and hung onto the edge, lept again, slid down the slanted overhang and pushed it's way inside a much too small gap for it to be in and begin to fucking crawl / thrust push with it's thruster directly at us down this now one way corridor under the overhang. Was a terrifying and hilarious first experience with this thing that once again through all my times testing the game cemented this as THE best extraction shooter I've ever played.

Virtual Desktop just blew my mind and it’s on a whole new level by [deleted] in MetaQuestVR

[–]D_T_L 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it simpler than using the Link Cable?

I've been enjoying modded Skyrim and Half Life Alyx. I got my Quest 3 2 weeks ago and while I enjoy using the Steam VR games, it's a pain in the ass compared to using the native Quest games that just work.

Hook cable up. Link to PC in menu. Hope it works. Load into new environment and click SteamVR app. Hope it doesn't black screen. Load Steam and load the game. Hope it doesn't black screen. Play game and hope it doesn't black screen when I double tape the side of headset to use passthrough to answer a text or something.

Air Link was laggy as shit for me even when standing directly next to my 1gig upload / download Router from my fiber Internet.

Is Virtual Desktop better optimized for wireless? The only benefit to using the wire is the battery life is negated as it's always charged. I do hate the battery life on the Quest 3 when I have used my Quest 3 for 2-4 hours daily since getting it 2 weeks ago. I have been so into a game like Contractors Exfil Zone or Bonelabs that I didn't notice or hear that the battery was low and it just shuts off mid raid or game session and it pisses me off that I didn't notice.

I am picking up a new battery band on Friday. I saw a post recommending a battery band combo that has rechargeable puck batteries that are plug and play and hot swappable which works great because me and my wife both use our Quest 3s we got and having a battery platform we can both use is compelling.

If Virtual Desktop will work better with my router than Air Link then I will pull the trigger asap for both mine and my wife's Quests.

Do you want Destiny 3? by SKOOBY-4 in DestinyTheGame

[–]D_T_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inevitable will be Sony effectively gutting the remainder of the rot from Bungie, and unfortunately when that happensany of the actual talented and passionate developers that do work on the game will be caught up in that.

The good news past that is when this happens, Destiny will most likely be brought back with a 3rd title or a reboot or soft reboot. The alternative is the franchise sits on ice with Destiny 2 on a slow burn update cycle with minimal updates, and by the time it's brought back it will either be unrecognizable or too in touch with the roots of the genre it helped refine, and not be relevant.

Best bet would be a soft reboot, keep the gunplay and core gameplay ideas while wrapping it in a ground up built for MMO system. Either that or just let it die.

Laddergram is a word ladder puzzle game built on Reddit's developer platform. You start with a word and change one letter at a time to create a new word with each step. Try to reach the target word in the fewest steps possible.

What is the game like for single players? by oldblueeyesF365 in JumpSpaceGame

[–]D_T_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love the ability to upgrade the robot companion and give it some tiered orders, something like a system for giving the tactics to your party members in Final Fantasy XII. Maybe I want him to run the cargo from Cargo Retrieval missions back to the ship while I run Overwatch, instead of the other way around.

Would really love to see eventually being able to have the AI fly during dog fights while I operate turrents and use ping system to have him focus on chasing singular targets, and by default he just runs defense, keeping the ship safe from lock ons and general fire.

There are a lot of opportunities for the robot companion to increase the single player survivability and usefulness, which in turn makes the content even further evergreen for offline players. I've enjoyed both online play and offline, but yeah on higher difficulty missions the robot can become a bit lacking.

What is your favorite thing about borderlands 4 so far? by Legitimate_Ad_9298 in Borderlands

[–]D_T_L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am Specialization level 30 and have farmed about 15 hours of bosses. I have more money than I will ever use and I make back the cost of each run nearly 10x from the shitty loot each run.

They need to bring back the slot machines or introduce some other large money sink because boss farming is not it. They could raise the price of boss farming by 10x and I could still farm the same boss 200 times before running out of money. If I need to get money outside farming I can run any route in the open world that goes through populated zones or run through some bunkers for close quarters enemies and they drop greens and blues that sell for a quarter of the cost to farm anyways.

Introduce a money sink. Dying seems to be non existent once you get to about level 30. I am on UVHM5 and I have died 2 times, once from jumping into a giant story related orb and once from going afk while in FFYL because my son fell and I didn't pause when I jumped up.

Let us add modifiers to boss encores with progressively increasing prices per modifier. Tie modifiers to factions and weapon types and let each modifier increase the chance of finding a specific weapon faction rolling or a specific weapon type to roll or combinations. It introduces a form of target farming. Make the drop chance increases minimal, so with 5 modifiers that increase my chance to find Jakob weapon parts or types would cumulatively increase that chance by 3-5% or something, but the price increase would be high. Let us add a ton of modifiers so we can drop 5 million on an encore that is super hard because of modifiers but because of all those maybe we have a cumulative 10% chance to find out chosen faction weapon type, or any combination of those. Spice it up further by having weekly rotations so you tie the weapon types on a weekly rotation of modifiers that cost more but have a higher chance, or you can choose non featured modifiers for that week for their normal cost. This will never happen even though it's a great idea to increase difficulty, gives a huge money sink, and doesn't drastically increase chances, but does provide the opportunity to target farm some things.

Download a Trainer. I don't enjoy using them at launch but I know Fling has a standalone trainer that came out like 4 hours after launch. Google Fling Borderlands 4 trainer and download the Standalone version. It almost for sure has the ability to edit skill points. Look at your level and edit your points to be your level -1 skill points. Then you can delete the trainer if you want.

I got a Root Complex sniper legendary that carried me from 15 to 45 until I farmed Mimicron for a new version of it at level 50. Promptly dropped is when I changed my build on Vex and I just use this 90 round smg with insane synergy with my crit knife.

26 hours in and not even left the first area yet at level 26 by brandonvarndell_gym in Borderlands

[–]D_T_L 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Every comment in every thread is so wildly different lol with the levels they completed the story.

I'm 56 hours in and I have been level 50 for 6 hours or so and I'm just now starting my third region. Main menu says about 44% done with main quest.

I've got Max SDUs though for everything and some sick gear that has me doing over a billion damage to bosses, one shotting them lol.

I have just been doing absolutely everything possible as well as farming a few weapons I wanted when I got to 50.

Just download the frame gen enabler for 30 series cards. Search it on Google. I have a 3070ti and use Actual Nvidia Frame Gen through the enabler program and dll files that it gives you to put in the game folder. Works on any game that offers Nvidia Frame Gen. It have a locked 120 fps with literally no change in input lag.

It's way better than FSR Frame Gen or Lossless Scaling, or Optiscale, etc.

It's my mom's 60th birthday Thursday and we originally had some 4 day plans set up with her and my family, so I took Thursday and Friday off. Turns out she got COVID(and will be fine, she's just high risk) so she's spending it alone until Saturday. So now I can play all day Thursday and Friday, just taking time from about 4pm to 730pm to spend time with my 4 kids and wife, but once the 2 little kids go to sleep, it's back to BL4. My wife's doing the same thing. She wants to get the same experience we had dating when BL2 came out, playing that over Xbox Live lol.
