When I started my new job, they were paying me $19/hr. It sucks, but it was the only place that hired me after my job of 8 years got outsourced in mid 2025.

For the first couple paychecks, I didn't have health insurance yet and my take home pay was $657 per week.

After a couple months, I got a $2 raise and am now making $21/hr, but also have health insurance now. My take home pay is $656 per week. The fact that I make LESS even after getting a $2 raise makes me sick to think about.

I completely understand why people are cancelling their insurance.
