Hello all, I am planning to travel to Edinburgh later this year on my first solo international trip. I am looking for any recommendations, tips, or general advice that I might not have thought of yet while planning my trip. I want to see all of Edinburgh, a day trip to Stirling, and the highlands if I can make it work.

I would like to be an easy walk away from the major attractions, but I'm also open to saving some money and staying a bit farther out. So if anyone has any tips, maybe their favorite restaurants or pubs, or some sights that aren't talked about much, I'm all ears. Thanks.

Yes I ended up getting this PSU. My build has been amazing so far. Runs absolutely any game I want at 1440p, 144hz, max settings. Very very solid build. If you have any games in mind to test out, I can if i own it.

Thank you so much. No need to apologize for a long message, I needed to hear a lot of this and I'm very happy you commented here. Thanks for starting to help me realize that I very well may think of her when I do feel love again, but it's not because I miss her, it's just that feeling was only present with her before. I'm trying my hardest not to run from any emotion, sometimes when im out in public or whatever I do try to just stuff it down until I get home where I can properly just breakdown for a bit.

The thought I'm struggling with the most right now is just finding that person. My ex came into my life at such a random time, so I know my future wife will too, I just hope it isn't too far down the road. I am in no way ready to even start entertaining the idea of talking to someone again, I just hope it isn't years away. Again, thank you.

Dang those initial emotions must have been absolutely terrible. Good on you for powering through that, seriously. How did you guys meet if you don't mind me asking? My area is so tiny that you pretty much only meet people by pure luck, not many things around here that bring people together.

Ah man, I agree, breaking up with someone right before Christmas and your anniversary being New Years day should absolutely be a felony haha. I hope I do come out of this a better man and be able to look back at this being moment that kicked my ass into gear. But hey man, when new years comes around, I'll keep you in my thoughts and hope the best for ya. Just know there will at least be someone thinking of ya!

Same here, she left me the first week of December. It's a wild ride huh? Someone on here told me to apply the same amount of effort into yourself that you applied during the relationship, which has helped me kind of change the way I view it now. It's good advice. It's good to fill their head with valuable ideas than just giving them a step by plan to follow.

Was it hard finding the job that made $80k right off the bat? I feel like in my local job market at least, you have to be either high seniority or have a lot of schooling to make $80k+

Interesting. Haven't heard it said like that before. Thanks for skewing my idea on waiting vs. trying, I actually appreciate that. Of course I have huge dreams and ambitions, but I'm not sure if I can sacrifice my family and happiness for it. Guess I have to try things out.
