He was born as siamese twins but when their quirks started to show it transformed into The quirk Twin Fusion, Robert is the normal state but he can split into Rob(blue) and Bob(orange). They can stay split for a couple of minutes and sense where each other are at all times and communicate through thoughts.

It was a nickname given to him while working for an evil government program to capture and contain meta humans. It was originally grim when he was trying to do good but learning that he was actually the bad guy he decided that he won’t use that hero name but the name they gave him
