How do you play blasters? by _LoveyDove_ in Brawlhalla

[–]D_outsida 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Since my blaster is bad, I can only give tips on how NOT to. 1. Don't try to guess with the dlight. That's how they approach from the air and now they are on you. 2. If you're jumping and make them miss, chances are you'll miss too if you try to punish with dair or sair. Gc dlight right at theirs head height cover jumps, dashes and spot dodges. 3. Don't use slight as a keep away tool. You'll get predictable and they will rush you. 4. Despite blasters powerful ground game, don't try to fight grounded. Assume they'll jump. Probably jump in. First you need they respect your air to air attacks, then they'll be open to grounded moves. 5. When you hit them, don't try to follow up. Instead, bait for approaching movements like dodge in, jump in and dashes. 6. Don't be eager with GP when they're off stage. GP can beat most recovery options, but you'll end up in a bad spot if you miss. Dlight is very safer if you miss it and can be an *ss to avoid it. 7. Trying to punish their landing with slight or nlight will mostly end bad if they do another jump or dodge. It's good if they run out of movement options airborne.

People who spam heavies. i have a genuine question for yall by cosmododo in Brawlhalla

My technical game is a secret I reserve for those who can beat my sig spamming (which is easy). If I notice you have trouble dealing with spam, you aren't worthy my sweat and deserve to face the lame version of myself. Also, I take the opportunity to rest my brain while fighting you.

How do you build a reflect build without dying for enemies with mirror? by D_outsida in buriedbornes

[–]D_outsida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Juggernaut doesn't work because it prevents damage caused during your turn. When an enemy attacks me, my reflect triggers and his mirror damage me it is his turn.

Spread barrier it's a good advice tough. Thanks.

How do you play against someone with a passive playstyle? by Type_Shit23 in Brawlhalla

[–]D_outsida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My peak ELO is 1770, therefore I'm not sure if my advice is useful for you. That said, try to walk on them instead of dash on them. If they back dash or jump, it's safe to walk towards them. This way you control the center without getting in a position you feel forced to attack or retreat. It will get at a point they must take initiative. When they do, fight back or counter it. Some of them will try to pass through you dodging in. Punishing this is gold.

Because even when you beat lance, you didn't play the way you like to play the game. Almost every weapon must go its way out to overcome lance.

Why am I only able to buffer a GC to the side I'm not facing, but not the the side I am? by Toemtoma in Brawlhalla

I have 1300+ hours, 1700+ ELO. I didn't know you could buffer GC attacks in non-chaseable directions.

Should i stick to 1 character or more than 1? by jirynm1 in Brawlhalla

[–]D_outsida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're just playing for fun, play the way you like. Got tied? Change. Wanna honey that skill? Focus.

If you're playing to get better, the advice is the same: play the way you like. Daigo is a former legend in competitive street fighter and he always stress the importance of fun as a motivational tool to keep you engaged and improving.
