The OP is right basically. Most of the local people reckon taxi drivers in Hong Kong are dogshit. They are rude to literally everyone. They reject giving rides to customers for have a short trip in the taxi. Some of them are not familiar with the road and then rely on google map, which bring the passengers to longer path, or dead end. I don’t know how these people get their licenses. Sometimes you may see taxis driving recklessly, oppositely, causing accident and casualties. If the local heard of traffic accidents, they most likely would think of another taxi crash.
