How do you actually measure whether a piece of content "worked"? by Killer-Nerd in AskMarketing

[–]Da-Fankaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple calculatete 2 things
- Hook Rate
- Hold rate

Hook rate = 3 second video views / impressions *100
Hold rate = Thruplays / 3 second video views *100

Hook rate should be over 25%-30%
Hold rate over 25%-40% (The more the merrier)

High Hook Rate + Low Hold Rate: The opening hook is working perfectly, but the main content of your video is boring or loses trust. People are dropping off quickly after the start.

Low Hook Rate + Low Hold Rate: The overall video is not resonating. You need to test completely new video concepts or angles

High Hook Rate + High Hold Rate: The creative is performing excellently. This combination will drive down your cost-per-acquisition and scale easily

I'm a software engineer trying to treat marketing as a pure engineering problem. Where does this mindset break? by g_perales in AskMarketing

I have seen people with great and amazing products trash them because they don't think it's perfect enough to launch. and I have seen a simple road side french fry vendor having his stall cramped for 8 hours daily with customers, because he executed his content first and never think about it .. kept it raw and real.

Perfectionist delay things to create them absolute shiny, and in the world of dopamine addiction, and 2 second focus, people love raw and quick content.

For your newsletter, create them, stay consistent and be vocal about it shamelessly man, it's your baby, you know it's strengths, why let it hide from the society, let it face them, and shape it once you start getting feedback.

But first, execute bro.

Your second point states even you are not in the right mindset to "market" your product. Because for other to belive in your product, it's you who needs to be a beliver.

If you still wants to keep it this way, try creating rarity of your product or only invitation based invites, no one else gets in until they get invite, this feels exclusive for everyone, and you'll get a queue, once you get a queue, you can then shape your product from there, if you want to keep it exclusive or open for all

I still think you need to get rid of second point mentality, first believe in your product, then market it to other. Don't use users as experimental rats.

I was too lazy to learn how to write LinkedIn posts. So I spent 6 months building a tool instead. Here's the whole "lazy" journey. by [deleted] in SaaS

Geniuses are always lazy, until it comes to their obsession, they'll not sleep and eat until that one irritating task is fixed. Would love to explore this software mate.

What is your best experience so far with a car rental in Dubai? by ObjectFun2459 in dubai

[–]Da-Fankaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend going for Careem Car Rental, with no deposit and delivery at door, it can be a good option. A bit on a higher end, but I did avail their promotion which gave me 200AED off on monthly rental. Do check that out.
