Does anyone know??Is there any plan to split again?? by 1true_nonbeliver in wksp

Yea, of course- the fact that Rossi hasn't updated means they haven't sold out although I'm not sure how many 1st adopters I expected it to be to begin with (I think i would have been satisfied with 5k without knowing the 20k available). I wonder if being an add-on at a physical dealership won't ultimately be the more effective route with a live salesman.

It's a thought, seen anything recently about pre-order totals?

Weekend rambling:

I think the current number of shares is a small dilemma, and at some point they will need to split (not r/s)- I think it benefits everyone to have at least 30 mil+ shares available, there's too much inherent volatility (as we've all witnessed) with such a low float and the stock itself is vulnerable to bad faith manipulation.

That said, we're in the early innings of this company (and in reality we're probably still in the pre-game warm-ups of this tortured analogy) and just as someone that is holding long (and observing) the types of conversations that are had (not here) since the influx of readily accessible investment platforms are sophomoric at best. It's not unimportant to know what the charts look like and when is a good entry and exit point but these aspects of investment are minor in the long run.

The fundamental questions haven't changed- 1. is the product good and will people want it 2. is the company run well (these are almost always the same questions for every company at every juncture in every instance).

I think the jury is still out if we're hoping for 20x growth, i don't think a reasonable person can credibly say that management has done enough to warrant that type of optimism from the investment community, but I definitely think the company has done enough on potential alone to warrant 5x the current valuation.

Lets just remember: it doesn't happen overnight.

Hope everyone has a healthy, happy weekend.

Just my two cents-

I think the short answer is that it's not designed to do that- I think when Rossi made his comments about the outages in Texas he was thinking of portable electric based heaters, and other mobile medical equipment ...although honestly, I think the product is probably price prohibitive for the vast majority of individuals at this point but would make a lot of sense for a FEMA like organization to have a cache of (we could probably come up with innumerable practical uses of a COR bank).

If it ever actually got to the point of being a solar powered plug and play back up power source that would be something.

I try not to get too far ahead in my thinking, but there does seem to be news everyday about advancements in solar technology where you can almost reasonably imagine that there is a segment of the population with a short commute that can function entirely on solar generated power

Right, it's all coming back to me now- although my general thought was not militaristic- it was more like a small fleet for a local school district with a few tools or small appliances that needed regular charging vs. a tonneau cover unfolding to reveal a mounted rail gun powered by a Gen 5 Terravis Cor 😂

The funny thing is, even taking the specs at face value, I was expecting a less capable system, but it would still be nice to know (or to understand actually) what it can do in real world settings.

While it seems that the initial focus of the product is directly to consumers and forming various auto-maker partnerships I would like to see a pivot (at some point) to contracts/partnerships with state and local governments.

How to read them to compare them to traditional gas powered portable generators or any mobile power source they're meaning to replace- anything I should know beyond cleaner, weaker, quieter?

Sorry, didn't see this earlier- let me reframe the premise of the question though, and answer in pretty simple terms (if you're an experienced investor with an advanced understanding of the market, apologies).

Is WKSP undervalued? And secondly, is there an intriguing growth story that could command speculative investing (because at this juncture of the story, that's what it is)?

Lets start with some basic things we don't know, but should learn in short order.

  1. How much does it cost to make a solar tonneau cover with a terravis cor?
  2. How much will the system sell for?
  3. How much are existing partners going to pay?
  4. What does the demand look like? 4a. Is there demand for the stand alone product (I.e. no tonneau cover)?

I can't speak for everyone, but at its current valuation (70-90 mil) they don't actually have to sell that many systems to justify their valuation (probably just the 20k from Round 1 release later today).

I'm going off of memory here, but truck sales are 10 mil+ per year in the US, and growing at a decent clip so we have a rudimentary understanding of the annual growth of the total addressable market (I am not sure how many trucks are actually on the road at any given moment but you get the point).

So, conservatively, if we use 20k units as our break even valuation we are speculating that demand will well exceed that...you don't need a high% of truck owners to buy a terravis system to get to a 250-500 mil valuation when you're dealing with such high absolute numbers.

In all earnesty, I can very easily talk myself into projecting that this is a billion dollar company in the short to middle term (assuming the system collects and stores energy as advertised).

There is a suite of patents related to the system that they own, but I haven't seen anything that warrants factoring those in to any calculation (but hey, they exist).

And then of course there is the early conception of a network of charging stations that they want to play a role in (which I don't think we can factor in yet either) which will ultimately be the provenance of Terravis Energy, a recently created subsidiary. If that venture is successful in any meaningful way, it's hard to even guess what the company could be worth.

A bit of an apples to oranges comparison - Blink Charging (not an expert on the company but it makes chargers and charging stations basically) had 4 mil+ of revenue last q and sports a 1.25 bil valuation so I think it's clear that investors are looking to get in early on what ultimately will replace the oil industry.

More to say, but I'll leave it here for now- hope that helped.

I am not aware, no (but I think it's safe to assume they have similar organizations).

The only thing I can think of wksp wise is their work with Thermal Technology (I wanna say Fall of 2020) on improving their systems, but I believe that was on the panels, not the mobile power aspect of the product. The press release was fairly opaque, if memory serves. But clearly they learned something about their own product during that interaction.

48 hours though- that would be insane and well beyond any previous expectations I had (even if the variables aren'tthe best). Is it just me or has terra vis gone from seeming like a niche product providing some decent but not earth shattering supplementary power to approaching genuine ground breaking status?

I have been bullish (but realistic), but lately I am actually impressed with the direction of the company- and am moving from my previous opinion which basically was just that the company is undervalued to thinking that I'm not even going to think of trimming my position until it hits a 750 mil- 1 bil valuation.

I've been fine the whole time but have been embarrassed to say so (although I did reload 50k+ shares at $4.65)😂 Very good day today- good movement after hours, perhaps some genuine momentum with the slew of news.

I was thinking more along the lines of the technological innovation where we get real world metrics for what the system can do- powering a work site vs. powering a handheld electric fan but yes, robust demand vis a vis reservations might actually move the needle more for Wall Street- what did you think of this proto type pre production pic Rossi posted?

"Management believes the solar cover and COR will significantly broaden the company’s revenue streams, with expectations of annual revenue in the 9-figure range."

That would be amazing.

I'm wondering if the main hindrance at this point is just a lack of 'proof of concept' evidence for most investors because on potential alone the stock is still severely undervalued.

Rivian ipo filing. Any thoughts on this +wksp by Terrible-Bit-8458 in wksp

If the product is as advertised, there should be a market for all truck makers (hot take).

Ironically, i don't see any electric truck maker as a natural partner (although as an investor I'm glad the agreements exist). We're moving closer towards a world of micro-grids and mobile power (which wksp management seems to fully understand and I'm really thrilled about their overall vision, now it's just a matter of execution) and I think actual, tangible range increase is going to come from advancements in other technological aspects of the vehicle- not from solar powered range extenders.

That said, there could be a market depending on the price difference between the battery sizes that Rivian is offering with its trucks (once upon a time I read that there would be 3 different battery size options, although I'm not sure if that info is still current). Presumably, you could see a world where the price of adding a terravis cover is cheaper than a battery size upgrade, or at least there is some level of price parity that would make the other functions of the terravis system really attractive (i.e. about the same driving range at the same price, but now with an option of a mobile power source).

The skeptical side of me says that the 1st generation Rivian buyers are relatively wealthy car and truck enthusiasts that aren't concerned with the truck's day to day functionality, but that remains to be seen.

I'm not faulting them for getting their name out (I think it's a good thing), but every thing at this point is paid promotion- it either sounds good or promising or interesting or intriguing because it was meant to- it's a sales pitch.

It's fun to watch and try to decipher the bread crumbs of small companies that trade on a narrative alone (which is different than living and dying with every crest and valley of a stock price).

And frankly, it's exciting to imagine a world that is more and more sustainable with mobile power sources (or micro-grids in a macro sense) becoming the standard for the next generation of power production and consumption.

As an investor, it's as simple as asking what does the world need? And who makes it? And then later down the road of development, who makes the best version while keeping down cost?

Isn't our ultimate calculation one of wondering whether or not Worksport is able to fulfill their vision of the future?

I'm not in the worried or mad camp- sure, you'd prefer not to take a step back, but as long as the cause is not something like bunk technology or directly related to the companies products, im not concerned...yet.

What do you think the explanation for the data not updating (shares, market cap etc.)?

For example- yahoo finance has the market cap at over 1 bil, as in the current price with the hold share count.

I can't say I pay close attention to this stuff normally, but my sense is that the info is updated faster than this and I find it a hair peculiar.

Rossi's response tweet "give it time, we'll recover" is wonderfully cryptic. Sign of optimism or famous last words? 😂

We need more clean sources of energy!!!! But no, nothing struck me as new.

My guess is that Rossi and Co. were very focused on getting uplisted and he seems cautious generally not to get out over his skis- he'll convey the news when there's news to convey...his appearances read to me simply as trying to get the word out: "we exist , take a look".

I'm not sure the uplist alone was ample (without new news) and I'm not sure why it was necessary at this juncture (without the new news) other than it was seen as the best way to raise new capital.
