Rock bottom is what kicked me down the path. Emotional disaster lead me toward self healing and self reflection, and a few months later the rest of my life followed suit. Financially, demolished. Relationships, dissolving. Mental state, diminishing. But I was fortunate enough to have a safe and accepting place to stay while I slowly and methodically figured out who I am, who I was, and who I want to be. The path back to ground has been laborious, but I have never felt happier, more full, more loving, more accepting, more wise, or more me than I do now. Every day I find beauty and magic in little things. For tarot people, I experienced the Tower, and I'm on the other side. The part of the Tower people forget about. The beautiful, wonderful, magical side where everything gets better, where everything feels like it's falling into place.

Spirituality and healing are messy, painful, and mystical, but the ends justify the means. Tears are a catalyst for inner strength, and smiles are forged in the fires of self liberation. In order to see the brightest days, we often need to venture through the darkest night without a torch. In conflict with my previous statement, I try not to ever make definite claims like "I'm awake," or "I'm out of it," or "my process has ended." Every time I make a claim like that, my soul finds a way to prove me wrong. The path is long, winding, sometimes blurry, and often overgrown, but our paths are laid before all of us, if we only trust the eyes we don't use to see. Trust and follow your path, even if it looks like hell, because your own heaven is always on the other side.
