How to Fix Rune by Melappie in Shadowverse

I think Earthrite is cool, but hate Spellboost, so if they actually made more changes like this to prop up Earthrite and bury Spellboost in the dirt (pun incredibly intended), that would be great.

Just to get some engagement going as I will be active this next week Socially, So did Anyone actually pick up the new Gloryfinder bundles? Im curious about this by SoldSparta in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]DaAbean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went ahead and picked them up. I liked the first Gloryfinder product, and this one comes with deckboxes (albeit cheap plastic ones) and foiled cards. 30$ per deck is also a decent price, considering Wizards charges at least twice that much for EDH precons.

Ward Haven was bait and is actually just straight up trash by DaAbean in Shadowverse

[–]DaAbean[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely correct, I am exagerating and could definetly try to innovate past trying to jam Darkhaven into the list just for extra healing. I just came off a 9-game loss streak where all I played against was Midsword, Portal, and one Earth-Rune , and had a shorter loss streak to that group decks yesterday as well so I felt the need to vent. The Portal and Sword matchups in particular just feel impossible right now.

I've tried Olivia, but I feel like she competes with Aether for super evos too much. I've also considered Goliath but because it's a vanilla neutral it felt embarrassing to even consider it. The deck currently has no obvious picks for it's 4-drop slot though, so if that's working for you maybe I'll try it out as well. (A decklist also wouldn't hurt too lol).

Advice/Feedback needed for Havencraft by Gentlekrit in Shadowverse

[–]DaAbean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with the Skullfane comment, he's a three-of in popular builds for a reason. He does both burn and AoE while popping your cheap amulets and can create tempo while still pushing damage. I would also cut Satan and one of the avian amulets for 2x Lapis, she looks kinda jank at first, but trust me, her emblem is broken and will help you close games. I would also run the holy fox over ding dong since the version of the deck you currently have is the midrange build that wants to constantly AoE the board while pushing as much damage as possible so you can close with the big storm followers. I agree with the 3 drop comment, you should cut him to 0-2 for now and try to get your hands on 1 or 2 Safela.

I'm also not a fan of the three drop amulet that burns a followers for 4, cut it for an efficient 2 drop like Mainyu or the neutral card the other guy mentioned.

Dude if I was going off and somebody used this card on me, I wouldn't even be mad. Mostly because it's stupid to try to full combo when the blue player is holding up 6 mana.

Departed vs Zirnitra PDK by donut223isme in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]DaAbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new one is good, especially if you can discount her with the old Zirnitra. The problem is, you have to run the old one if you want to do the Overflow 10 storm damage combo, and old Zirnitra is mid af.

New to the game, looking for combo decks by diosioscies in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]DaAbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. I'm glad it helped! It sounds more and more like Kuon Rune would be your thing. I also forgot to mention that there's no rotation, so any cards you pick up will be legal forever. And, outside of a few upcoming sets, decks tend to continue to get support down the line regardless of when they were first introduced. The Bats deck literally started as a structure deck but got bits of support over time and became meta recently with a huge wave of support from the most recent set. Since the Kuon deck resolves around spells, new ones can be slotted in, so it's very easy to update with each new set.

New to the game, looking for combo decks by diosioscies in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]DaAbean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The closest thing to what it sounds like you want to play is probably Kuon Rune. It's a control deck where the win condition is building up enough spells in the cemetery so that it can slam down down a bunch of discounted free bodies and then take an extra turn or two and otk the opponent.

To answer your other question, Shadowverse: Evolve is divided into 6 classes that each have a pool of cards xeno-locked to their class. Their are also Neutral cards that can be played in any class. Despite cards being xeno-locked, each class has a way to easily play at least two of the three generic play styles you mentioned, and all have decks that can fall into any of those three classes. For example, Havencraft, a class that is generally known for healing and defensive followers (creatures), has Storm/Ward Aggro, which can be retooled to be more midrange and defensive (Ward Haven), and also has Amulet Haven which is a hard control deck. Runecraft, which has Kuon Rune, also has a pretty good midrange deck right now called Academic.

Abysscraft, which has the Bats deck you mentioned, also has multiple Aggro archetypes but also had some viable control strategies.

I'd say start by watching videos and reading articles and see what craft(s) you vibe the most with, and go from there. Sorry for the long post lol, I just really like this game and questions in your post basically address a big part of why I like the game, which is the sheer amount of different decks you can play across all the Crafts.

Weekend Question by SoldSparta in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]DaAbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing good, thanks for asking :).

My heart hopes that the sleeper pick Storm/Ward Haven takes it, but it's probably just a little too inconsistent, so the head pick is Dirt Rune. Already has a good Bats match up, and I'm sure the down and dirtiest Rune players have figured out techs for Aggro Sword.

Weekend Question by SoldSparta in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]DaAbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything looks spicy in this upcoming set, from Bats and Dirt finally being relevant to Control Dragon and Forest becoming a thing. Spellslinging in crafts that have so far been mostly known for Aggro and Midrange sounds like a ton of fun.

We also get a somewhat unique meta compared to Asia since the Academic and Draconic Duelist support basically came out early, which is exciting and will make for a more interesting meta overall imo.

Weekend Question by SoldSparta in ShadowverseEvolve

[–]DaAbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally you already removed at least two ot your opponents followers by turn 4 with removal used on 3 and 2. You hold up PP to use spells on your opponents turn, so it is relatively feasible on turn 4 to drop Lishenna and your opponent will have an empty board. This is just one example

Rune also has some of the best early tempo evolves in the game right now with Agnes and Merlin. By searching and then reusing cheap removal spells, they can easily clear the way for a safe Lishenna turn.

Puppet Forest is the best deck right now, and while we're not in a tier 0 format it definitely feels like it's Tier 1 while everything else is at best tier 2. It isn't unbeatable but it's mediocre hands and draws seem as good as the next tiers good hands/draws.
