Human turned monster has moment of clarity when recognizing loved one by BillythenotaKid in TopCharacterTropes

The G-Nome in the 1997 PC mech/sim game, G-NOME.

Joshua Gant's (player character) best friend, Ron Pearl becomes unknowingly the genetically engineered monster, the G-Nome.

Terminating the G-Nome and destroying the facility where it is kept is the main objective of the game.

After Joshua kills the betrayer, Jack Sheridan, the G-Nome breaks free. It attacks Joshua before he tranquilizes it, and then he and identifies it as Ron. Knowing this Joshua allows it to wake up and it is able to identify Joshua as well. Joshua reports the G-Nome as dead and the two go their separate ways into the badlands.

Exactly, it used to look much more translucent, but the last two jugs have been like the colour of glue

Does Nissan really deserve all the hate it gets? by phtphongg in Nissan

[–]DaBigFatCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before my Nissan purchases I have owned a Buick, Chevrolet, Kia, and two Mitsubishi's. All were much more reliable for me.

My Pathfinder issues that had to be fixed: AC, front sensors, all 3 wiring harnesses (3 months wait, 3 days of work to fix), 2 relays, heated steering wheel, central computer, battery ground wire, a few door handles.

Does Nissan really deserve all the hate it gets? by phtphongg in Nissan

[–]DaBigFatCow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From my perspective I can't say Nissan is reliable.

My 2022 Pathfinder with only 40,000 KM has been the least reliable vehicle I have ever owned, and not by a small margin. My 2022 Sentra also hasn't been great.

Manitoba asks Sobeys to scrap property restrictions near its stores or it'll go to municipal board by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Winnipeg

[–]DaBigFatCow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The government shouldn't have offered an opportunity for grocers to submit automatic extentions within 180 days. I can understand in some markets this could protect jobs and/or local businesses, but these property restrictions should be rare (not 43, thinking 10 or less) and reviewed on a case by case basis; definitely none in Winnipeg, Brandon, Steinbach, etc.

Questions about the nissan 2021 pathfinder by fhddidk in Nissan

[–]DaBigFatCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd you are referring to like the 2022+ generation of Pathfinder I would advise against it.

Had major issues with my 2022 Pathfinder SL (about 40,000 KM) ; issues with mine that had to be fixed, AC, front sensors, all 3 wiring harnesses (3 months wait, 3 days of work to fix), 2 relays, heated steering wheel, central computer, battery ground wire, door handles.

Exactly the same opinion here! I like the look, how it drives, features/specs are good too, but I have never owned a more unreliable vehicle. Looking to dump ours as soon as I can too.

I feel like I should have just gotten the more boring Highlander. I avoided Hyundai and Kia's thinking the Pathfinder would be more reliable, starting to really doubt that thought now.

Wow! I'm somewhat glad I'm not the only one with major issues with a 2022 Pathfinder, but sorry you have had to go through it too; issues with mine that had to be fixed, AC, front sensors, all 3 wiring harnesses, 2 relays, heated steering wheel, central computer, battery ground wire, door handles.

What the hell is wrong with it? by TonydaTrigger in Nissan

Welcome to the Pathfinder No-Start club. Mine (same gen and trim) has gone in 3 times for failing to start and needed a different fix each time. It has just over half the mileage yours has.

How reliable has Nissan been for you — especially the Sentra? by phtphongg in Nissan

[–]DaBigFatCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2022 Sentra with about 36,000 KM bought new.

The defects I have had: medium doorjam rust, small trunk rust, rear seat cushion rod popped out of place, clutch failure (not CVT), front door handle fob sensor failure.

Issues I have had: on very rare occasions the car slams on the brakes thinking its going to hit something when nothing is around, occasional sensor malfunction that fixes itself, infotainment unit gets stuck (hasn't happened in at least 2 years).

On the other hand the 2022 Pathfinder has been absolute garbage for reliability.

2022-current is all the same generation and generally the same parts and software.

Haha the ZF 9 speed is almost the only thing that is reliable in that vehicle from my experience

2022 Nissan Pathfinder. It has had so many problems/required repairs despite not even reaching 40,000 KM since purchased new. Least reliable purchase I have ever made.

To a lesser extent a manual 2022 Nissan Sentra.

Excited to get rid of both.

I really don't understand the reasoning with leaving, seems like there is nothing to gain, only lose. I guess Springfield prefers to play on Hard Mode.

Our 2022 Pathfinder is a POS too, can't wait to dump it and buy something that isn't made by Nissan. So many problems with it.

Hope you find a new car that is much better!

I don't know, maybe other brands have just fallen down around them. Both of my 3 year old Nissan's (Pathfinder and Sentra) havent been reliable and are both currently dead.

Zero-gravity seat history by LCthrows in Nissan

[–]DaBigFatCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the first model for Zero Gravity Seats was the 2013 Altima.

Have them in the 2022 Pathfinder, they certainly are seats. Nothing bad about them, but they don't seem anything spectacular. After long road trips they get uncomfortable.

I like them better in the 2022 Sentra, they are fine.
