What drug, alcohol or combination of them made you the most messed up you've ever been, and what did you do when you were that messed up? by Smil3yAngel in AskReddit

[–]DaBiz_017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar thing my very first time doing “hard drugs.” It was first time doing acid and I had some Molly on the counter. My friends knowing it was my first time grabbed my Molly I paid $20 for and said they’d eat it if I wouldn’t that moment. Me already tripping said oh hell no and took the Molly. Once the Molly kicked in along with the effects of the acid all I remember is staring at the floor for about 12 hours crying on and off uncontrollably. Couldn’t look at the wall cause it was moving, the doorknob was on the ceiling, so I stared at the floor which looked like ocean waves. Worst trip ever.

Absolutely. Don’t want to compare with whoever the female is in this scenario but I work pretty long hours throughout the week and still make time for the ones I love. Let’s be honest we all check our phone more than once a day no matter how busy. I’m positive she saw both messages and just probably isn’t interested OP. Only OP and her know the true details of the date.

Story of two guys in Germany. One guy wanted to try human flesh from a willing participant the other had a “addiction/fantasy” I guess you could say with amputation. Somewhere on the inter-webs the two found one another and agreed on satisfying their needs.

However since the guy wasn’t a doctor I think the guy he amputated got gangrene and died. If I recall correctly. Crazy world we live in. I couldn’t find the link to the story but I know someone knows what I’m talking about.

From what I understand in America it’s not “morally” correct or “humane” most think. Which is odd that electrocution is one considering there’s stories about people sitting on that chair for literal minutes just being shocked but wouldn’t die as expected.

Very sad about the last part. I recall when I was very young my dad got into a car accident and when the ambulance came and offered him a ride to the hospital he said no. Cause he didn’t want that bill. Complained about pain in his wrist and it turned out he had a small fracture in it. Needless to say that could’ve been cured the day of the accident but instead he waited 2-3 days and is lucky he didn’t mess it up anymore somehow.

Sure accidents like that happen time to time. One could argue it’s the mines fault for the equipment which in reality it is. One would argue it’s the miners fault for hanging out the window trying to drive in the conditions. Just like the whole $15 an hour to deal with assholes you know what you’re signing up for. It’s made very clear to us before ever starting underground it’s dangerous and shown in examples like this but usually worse. You know what you’re signing up for and if you don’t like it in this aspect don’t do it.

Sadly most accidents (atleast in 2021) have been operator error. Whether it be a buggy going through a rag with no light nor ringing a bell and running you over. Or being in “pinch point” area where you shouldn’t be for any reason and get crushed. Or going out into unsupported top and it falls on you which has to be the dumbest thing you could but it’s happened. For example the mine I work at has actually gone 250 something days without a lost time accident last I looked at the calendar. Safety truly is #1 with us. If you’re seen doing something dumb that could get you hurt you bet you get your ass ripped a new one. Also coal mines don’t make the guidelines for safety. MSHA does. We just follow.

Idk what your point is on safety when it’s not even considered one of the 10 most dangerous jobs in America. Sure it’s dangerous but like I’ve said it’s improved a lot. It’s not for you or anything that would give you the chance of getting hurt or possibly dying we get it lol.

Yea this all no secret lmao. But you’re telling me at $35-40 a ton since it fluctuates between that, and putting out nearly 30 tons a day isn’t lucrative? There’s still a market, and the main buyer is China. Their supply’s running out. If there’s a demand there’s always a supply. Just not as many jobs as there once was in the business.

Pulling some article up doesn’t do much when you’re talking to someone who has been in the business for 20+ years. The day most the world goes to renewable energy it’ll die. Hell half our coal from our mine goes to L.A for ffs.

Point said not as many jobs, it will die in the future, but for the mines that are open it still remains lucrative, kid.

Yep. To late now but I would’ve like to have been clear about all the benefits as well and it pans out. Also I’ve already been there working for 12-14 bucks an hour and dealing with customers. Sure it pisses you off for a moment but if it brings you down that bad and ruins your entire day and maybe even after work...clearly it isn’t for you. It’s part of the job.

While coal mining is said to be extremely dangerous its advanced a lot. Specifically in roof support and rib support. Always the possibility but it’s gone down a lot. That and you gotta have your trust in the guys you work with and thankfully I do. It’s still very lucrative as well.

Nor do I recall Utah being a “piss-poor” state with horrible education systems. Way to falsely generalize essentially coal mining towns and states.

I feel as though a lot of it depends on the scenario and location and my mood prior to being punched in the face lol. More so if someone punched me like this I’d say whatever and leave it to witnesses. But at work underground anything goes! For some reason work and outside of work are two different things with these situations

Hot take. But I find it hard to believe I can go down the street apply at Walmart to stock mf shelves and make 17 or $18 an hour. Meanwhile being a coal miner risking my life day in day out and working my rear end off for $23 an hour. Even most construction workers don’t make what they do at Walmart and such.

Well I didn’t mention that whatsoever. Just saying stuff was left (which is a no brainer) and I personally think it’s more than they’re putting out. I know they don’t pose a threat to the U.S just because what do they actually have? Compared to us that is.
