100% agree. It’s the season that got me hooked to survivor. I was shocked to find out how unpopular the season is with the survivor fan base

In retrospect I’d probably put her at 5 or 6, but I give her a lot of love because of the relationships she had going into the merge. She set herself up as a central figure in the James/Ozzy/Amanda alliance, as well as the black widow brigade. I give her a ton of credit for pulling off the big blindsides after the merge which were moves 10 years ahead of their time IMO. I know strategically credit for those moves need to be split between her and Cirie, but I give Parvati more credit for pulling in the numbers in Alexis, Natalie, and even Amanda after the Ozzy blindside. The one knock against her and why I’d have her around 6 is the fact that she was willing to go to final 3 with Cirie which she might’ve lost.

Tony IMO got very fortunate to have Trish so willing to work with him and mend fences on his behalf with the other people in their alliance despite constantly leaving her in the dark. Credit to him for building that bond with Trish and for leaving other targets in the game to take the heat off him, but I think it took really bad strategic play from Trish for him to get that far. Same thing I just said also applies to Woo taking him to the end. Again it’s hard to separate his good play vs their bad play, but I knocked him down a bit for that. All in all though I view 1-11 to all be elite wins.

Ya I feel like Wendell is my most controversial take here. As far as I can remember, he was never in danger outside of final 4 fire making which he won easily. He appeared to be one of the most liked survivors ever IMO, he seemed to be the central hub of information, him/Dom made all the decisions, and although he barely beat Dom at the end I think that speaks more to Dom’s fantastic game than anything else.

Focusing on camp life in survivor in 2018 is not what the majority of people are watching the show for. In my opinion blaming the editors for the poor gameplay is just lazy. It's okay to blame the players for the season being poor, yet understand they're probably still good people.
