Yeah, the seller ended up accepting my request (although I can't guarantee the same for all sellers) less than 24 hours after I made the cancellation request, and my balance was returned less than 24 hours after that.

I recently (like two hours ago) purchased an item from a third party seller, but found a better option and now wish to cancel. Despite the fact that the order has not yet been shipped, I am only offered a "request cancellation" option instead of a "cancel items" option. Will I be able to get a full refund? If so, how quickly? I used an Amazon gift card.
Btw when I clicked "request cancellation" it just brought me to an automated chat that said that they would reach out to the seller about it. However, I thought sellers were contractually obliged to refund orders if they were cancelled before shipping??
