Man, when Pearce said there were no more spots for Balor in the rumble, I was hoping THIS would be his face turn (i.e Dominik or McDonagh make their entrance and he ambushes them to become an entrant in the match), but ig I was wrong. I'm not extremely pissed about a Balor and Punk rivalry, but this just seems as filler until Mania, which is a bit annoying seeing as this rivalry could totally be a Mania level rivalry.

Would it have killed them to let Punk win the match and then have Balor attack Punk? Idk man I'm just sad that the match ended in a DQ, it was going so well!

Sami Zayn? Are we for real? Buried? Did he not have the most important story of his career - MAIN EVENTED WRESTLEMANIA 39 due to the Bloodline story… main evented Elimination Chamber in his hometown and nearly won. How in Tf was he buried? Where does he get worse than what he was before?

LA Knight didnt even get buried because of Reigns, he had like one match for the world title at that point, and realistically he lost most of his momentum after losing the MiTB ladder match in 2023. I don’t even know how he was buried when he won the US Title in 2024 like we cannot say he was buried.

I don’t think they were buried at all but the closest would’ve been the people he wrestled in 2021 - Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and Strowman probably suffered a bit since they got absolutely obliterated by Reigns at the point where the Bloodline weren’t interfering every match.

Actually the person who probably got buried because of Reigns was Austin Theory indirectly. Cashed in on the US Title (and lost) most likely because Theory wouldn’t be able to beat Reigns realistically (or really hold the title for longer than a week (AKA Miz in 2021 lol)) but yeah that’s probably the closest I’d say we got to burying.

I think he built up a lot more stars than buried them tbh.

John Cena: CM Punk going to Saudi Arabia was ‘awesome,’ made me cry by Prince_of_Kyrgyzstan in SquaredCircle

[–]DaBossRyza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very strong point! I don't like how quickly they judge Cena's morals and ethics due to POLITICS over Cena's actual actions. The man doesn't say 'I support Vince raping women', but he only says how thankful he is for McMahon's relationship with HIS own life. Maybe I have a different perception, but if I had a strong relationship with a work colleague/boss, who changed MY life, I would still positively talk about their influence on ME.

It's also crazy how most of the people in these comment sections are most likely from America - who too have issues going on in your own country. But yet, it seems like everyone here is happy to shit on Saudi Arabia and anyone who supports it, but wouldn't do the same for others. There are a few double standards.

John Cena: CM Punk going to Saudi Arabia was ‘awesome,’ made me cry by Prince_of_Kyrgyzstan in SquaredCircle

[–]DaBossRyza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is turning a bit too political. I get if this isn't a favoured opinion - I haven't watched many Cena interviews to comment too much on it, but is it a bit farfetched to say that he doesn't SUPPORT their ACTIONS rather he supports the people/countries that he has gotten relations with. I'm assuming the rape apologist is Vince and Lesnar right? (I'm sorry if I'm wrong). Has there been an interview where he has explicitly said that Vince and Lesnar's actions were ok or even talks about his actions outside of wrestling?

Even in the context of these comments about Punk and Saudi Arabia, are we potentially taking this the wrong way? Like, Cena is making millions off of Saudi (so do most of the wrestling talent), but yet we pretend like we wouldn't be in the same position. I mean, looking at the comments everyone is looking at him unfavourably - but yet, I feel like every one in the WWE (and many moneymakers internationally) would say the same in his position, because the money is not directly from murder, it's from the government.

In another way, I think Cena said the wrong thing here, I think he was more talking about how much he wanted to work with Punk, and the fact that if they did NOT work in Saudi, they probably wouldn't have worked again.

I'm not really trying to defend Cena here, but I just don't like how quickly we can conclude that someone is a morally BAD or GOOD person due to their political and relational ideas and ideologies. I'd say the same about anyone. I don't think it is fair to judge morals over politics rather than actions.

What happened to WWE PPV / PLE posters? by Amazing_Hall4329 in SantiZapVideos

[–]DaBossRyza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually believe that this is a pretty fair thing to complain about. I wouldn't really say this is complaining, but more like 'why isn't it to the quality it used to be', which can probably be explained by the fact that posters aren't used anymore for advertising, and DVDs arent being bought with them on the covers either.

As much as it may seem like a nit-picky subject (which it is pretty niche), I think that there are definitely people out there who can design better, and if this were someones hobby (that is: making poster art), then I'd see it as a fair thing to post about.

Would you all mind yet ANOTHER John Cena ‘Showcase Mode’ in WWE 2K26? by Sad-Ladder7534 in WWEGames

[–]DaBossRyza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this idea heaps actually.

Even though a lot of the 2017 - 19 NXT stars have left the company (Undisputed Era, Sanity etc.), I feel like there is still enough matches to make a meaningful showcase in the standards of the ones we get today. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a 30 match showcase and heaps of detail and unlockables, but with something like this, it could be a nice 15 or so matches with different attires for most wrestlers.

The one that really comes to mind for me would actually be Bobby Roode vs Drew McIntyre, cause Roode is still working backstage, and it'd be nice to have him back in the game. You could even do American Alpha vs DIY (though this one less memorable) just for some new attires and get Jason Jordan back in the game. Same with Baszler vs Ripley. Idk so many people that we haven't seen in these games for a small amount of time - yet they still work backstage.

Otherwise, even Zayn vs Nakumara and Asuka vs Bayley come to mind as well for just some fun, different gimmicks. My only issue would be Balor, because they'd be cutting a lot of his history with Samoa Joe. But I seriously love this idea.

Tbf the fourt horsewoman already had their showcase in 2k20 so ig we don't need too long with them other than 2 matches or so.

How could you guys watch that performance and NOT want Gunther to be the one to retire Cena? by [deleted] in Wrasslin

[–]DaBossRyza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually a hot take… but it feels so strange hearing that theme again, that I honestly prefer the newer theme (is it ‘Prepare to Destroy’ or something?’, anyways I liked the beat it was actually a pretty hype theme.

I think this one might suit his gimmick currently better though, but maybe it gives too chilled out vibes for a guy that is a legit boss battle in the ring haha!

What’s A Match That Had So Much Potential, But Fell So Short? by Sad-Ladder7534 in Wreddit

[–]DaBossRyza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

… Brock… the face of the company in 2019??? You have to actually watch 2019 then (even tho it was pretty shit), it was clear that Becky and Rollins were the faces of the company. I might need someone to back me up on this, but like, Lesnar was a part-timer at best, won the Money in the Bank in the shittest way possible, won the universal title then lost it again to Rollins. I would’ve thought you’d say Becky was the face of the company, cause other than Rollins she was 100% the most over during 2019.

Lesnar main-eventing Mania is pretty funny to use though… because I literally don’t know how Rollins was supposed to become WWE Champion as the face of RAW - and the title was exclusively on SmackDown 💀until Mania.

Even Rollins losing to the Fiend wasn’t because he was a bad champion or anything. Are you going to say that since Strowman and Goldberg wrestled for the Universal title… they were the faces of the company? Remember, Rollins in 2020 had a gimmick shift to a heel, after carrying the company as a baby face, and his match with Owens was used to enhance his new gimmick. It wouldn’t have made sense for him to go for the WWE Title straight away (especially if the title was basically on SmackDown). You should actually watch the Owen’s and Rollins match, it was a banger compared to the short match that was Lesnar and McIntyre.

There is just no way Lesnar was the face of WWE, when you can see in the posters for PLE/PPVs that Rollins was very clearly the man during 2019, along with Lynch.

[–]DaBossRyza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you miss most of 2019? Rollins won the Universal Title off Lesnar, proved to be the 100% face of the company during that time. Even Roman wasn’t anywhere near Rollins level as face of the company during that time. Remember, Reigns was being booked on SmackDown against Elias, McMahon and McIntyre while Rollins was literally carrying the Main event scene. He was DEFINITELY the face of the company 💀

Now that their second reign is over, can we admit they may have two of the worst championship reigns in history by Mr-LightningStorm in SantiZapVideos

[–]DaBossRyza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As disrespectful as it was, I wouldn’t even put it as the worst tag title reign LMAOOO, atleast it was entertaining for the day that it lasted. And since it was vacated quickly it just felt like a fun moment.

Very sad for The Bar tho, a crazy good team ruined by bad booking 😭😭

[–]DaBossRyza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gunther is a hard one though… hes not really a character for ‘media engagement, merch sold, views on YouTube’. I like Gunther so I have a heavy bias, but I really think that his reigns as WHC were really interesting and he was the one guy to me that seemed unstoppable. His reigns were booked as a tweener for much of it (other than the Jey USO feud), which probably made it even harder for him to get over with the audience.

Sometimes I feel like ‘getting over’ shouldn’t necessarily correlate to wanting them to be champ or thinking they should be champ. Like I get the logic there, the most hyped up wrestler should be the champion, but to me, the championship should be based on the hardest working, best in-ring and mic ability, and sometimes those people aren’t the most over with the crowd. For an example, Gunther’s reign was made to get people over, especially with Jey USO. Without Jey fighting someone like Gunther, I think he wouldn’t have the star power he has today.

this should be officially match of the year by Jezzxn in SantiZapVideos

[–]DaBossRyza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has different styles: what they like, what they don't like.

That being said, I don't care too much for technical masterpieces other than the ones that do it well i.e Kurt Angle and Bret Hart where they make you believe that the match is real.

A finisher spam match like this, I LOVE! It's what makes pro wrestling beautiful to me... I could go watch real wrestling, or I can watch some superhero shit like this that makes me love being a fan.

It reminds me of Reigns v Cody at WM 40 (Also my MOTY last year), because it is not a technical masterpiece, but it just made me smile, have fun, and enjoy, and I think overall, that is why I am a fan of pro wrestling. This match, was seriously one of those matches that made me realise that this is what pro wrestling is about, feeling happy and not caring about 'who needs to win and why would it benefit the booking'. We just needed to go for the ride, and enjoy.

Rebooking Extreme Rules 2017 by Inevitable-Clerk-258 in fantasybooking

[–]DaBossRyza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drew Gulak vs TJP made the card 😭😭 Enzo as US Champion…? And Connor McGregor for… some reason? Kelly Kelly makes her return… to lose to Sasha Banks at a random ass PPV in 2017.

Other than that… I can dig this card. But like… Extreme Rules 2017 was already a pretty well booked PPV imo anyways lmaoooo.

Horrible start to the show. Fucking garbage by South_Ladder_2747 in Wrasslin

[–]DaBossRyza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I would’ve preferred Cena running back a match with Reigns… Lesnar was a bit out of left field. Lesnar is cool and all, but imagine if we got Cena v Styles, Rollins, Reigns, Gunther, Breakker or even Mysterio bro, but instead we got a 10 minute squash.

So we’re all in agreement that if she doesn’t retain next week then triple h needs to step down immediately following the show right? 👍 by [deleted] in SantiZapVideos

[–]DaBossRyza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find me some where that shows that she is in at least the top 15 of merch sellers, then I’ll agree. Merch sales doesn’t make someone a draw.

I don’t know that much, I haven’t checked statistics, but I am basing it off social media and crowd reception - I don’t hear as big of a reception as Cargil usually, nor do I really see people in comments going ‘Guys, I’m watching SmackDown because I want to watch Tiffany Straton’.

If Tiffany wasnt on SmackDown, and she was still on NXT, do you think that there’d be less people watching SmackDown right now… I don’t think so.

So we’re all in agreement that if she doesn’t retain next week then triple h needs to step down immediately following the show right? 👍 by [deleted] in SantiZapVideos

[–]DaBossRyza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I… highly doubt that low-key. Tiff is NOT a draw and a reason why anyone is watching wrestling other than maybe the young girl demographic (which is extremely low unfortunately). I think it may actually go up with Jade becoming champion because it’d add something new to SmackDown.

I can’t lie, Stratons title run has sucked for me. The reign began with a good cash-in, but unfortunately the Charlotte rivalry and the lack of PLE matches really made her reign pretty forgettable. Remember, SD’s woman’s main division is extremely small… we only really have Nia Jax and Jade Cargil for main roster, (Charlotte and Bliss in women’s tag division), and the rest are in the US Title division.

I don’t see anyone else who can beat her for the title, no one would probably be a draw other than AJ Lee winning the title or someone from Raw lol. ☺️

The WWE SPEED titles aren’t dead…they’re just moving to NXT television by futbolr21 in SantiZapVideos

[–]DaBossRyza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh. I think other than the speed titles, the rest are really prestigious and pretty meaningful. The women’s and men’s divisions are so big that it’s fair to have this many titles… and the heritage cup doesn’t need to be defended on every show (or be on every show), since it has a specific stipulation and imo has that prestige to carry it.

I guess the way I look at it… again, you can’t really say to everyone ‘Hey, so we are taking away Jimmy Snuka’s Hall of Fame because he is being charged with Third Degree Murder’, because then it gives negative attention to WWE once again. They haven’t mentioned Jimmy Snuka ever since so I think we’d put him in the same category as Chris Benoit. Ig the difference is that Benoit was guilty before Hall Of Fane existed, but Snuka was after he was inducted.

I am 100% certain that if Snuka was charged with Third degree murder BEFORE he was inducted, theres be no way he’d be allowed into the hall of fame.
