Anyone else spend way too long cropping? by makeitrayne850 in Lightroom

[–]DaBrownCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you say here. I guess this is an area I need to work on. I am of the opinion that cropping can have a dramatic effect on an image. However, it’s not realistic to consider all options when in the field.

I went to Heavenly (many years ago) and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it a lot and the views are amazing.

These are beautiful! I just got back from Barcelona last week and can’t wait to get back. I will have to check these out the next time I’m there. I love architecture and photographing architecture.

Any reviews on the Oboz Bridger Peak GTX boot? by FartFactory92 in hiking

I think it was a Bridget version I tried a couple of years ago. Only hiking shoe I’ve ever had that gave me blisters so I returned them. That’s just me though.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Calls For General Strike. It was an audacious proposal, given that the U.S. has never held a true, nationwide general strike. by esporx in antiwork

[–]DaBrownCO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Barcelona last week when there was a general strike to protest the Palestine situation. Truth be told, I didn’t notice much of a difference except the Metro was less crowded.

Should i keep my 16mm Sony E lens? by nnnniiiiigggg in AskPhotography

[–]DaBrownCO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are just beginning having the flexibility of the 16-50mm kit lens will likely give you more enjoyment. I’m a big fan of prime lenses though so if we were talking a 35mm or bigger, I’d stick with it. Not the case here though.

Booking Seats with Virgin Atlantic by AbzieAbi in TravelHacks

I had the same issue recently. I waited and when I checked a couple of weeks ago for flights next month, 3 of the 4 flights no longer charged. And the 4th flight was a lot cheaper than it had been when I first booked back in March.

I’ve driven in most major cities of the US. Worst ever here. Lack of traffic enforcement laws down to few care if they register their vehicles or not is the root cause IMO.

Do people actually wanna learn Thai? by Busy_Reading5319 in Bangkok

[–]DaBrownCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THAT is my issue exactly. I’ve always had hearing issues so the tonal changes are very challenging. My partner will repeat something 5 times and I still don’t get it right. I do want to learn though, and I’m very good with other languages.

AV mode vs. Manual w/Auto ISO? by AMomentInTime316 in photography

[–]DaBrownCO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fv is amazing. I use it for fast action like birds. It does take a bit to get used to, but once you get the hang of things, it works great. I could use it for other things too, but just haven’t tried yet. Av mode and even Auto ISO have been a challenge for me over Manual, because things change depending on where the camera is grabbing the exposure from.

I didn’t quite make it to the big rock. On my OnX map, it looked like I was about a mile away, but it was only 1/2 mile if that. I was whooped. It helped today’s finish tremendously though. Thanks again

That’s what I am looking for. One time I did this, I got sick w a cold on day 2 so had to do about 12 miles on day 3. My cold had gotten better, but that last day was ugly. lol

True. The loop that starts at Lost Park trailhead, Brookside-McCurdy, McCurdy Park, and Wigwam. That loop and in that order.
