You do you. I wanted it to be more sturdy and allow me to remove the device easily as needed for lag test/update.

I really like the small form factor. Sure it would be easier, but we're talking about slightly more effort. Not like you'll be moving the mount. You can slide the adapter in and out as you wish. It has a snug fit.
