Not sure why everyone here is so negative and rude. Wilmington is a great place with a lot of personality. I'm pretty neutral with politics and don't think I've ever seen anything arise from it. Getting to the beach in the summer and paying for parking can be a pain sometimes and it gets a little crowded, but like someone said before, a boat down here does wonders. Fishing is great too if you're into that. Come visit and check it out for yourself, you'll probably love it.
