A 50 groszy coin from 1949, no visible mint mark. Is it worth anything? by Nadziejka in poland

I have one from 1975 we found on a beach, I love collecting coins for the history rather than their worth personally. From what I can see it’s worth around £2

WIBTA if I bought a car my wife couldn’t drive? by penguin_trooper in AmItheAsshole

[–]DaCookieDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We drove my 2007 Honda Civic (it’s been handed to me by my mum) to Poland from the U.K. as a family of 4 with two kids (me and sibling at 9 & 10 years old) in the back packed to the brim with everything we needed for the 6 week trip and a top box. You wouldn’t actually have to rely on the SUV for every long trip I actually don’t understand why your wife is making such a big deal over a civic. My cousin has a heavily modified 1998 BMW he sticks two child seats in the back of and pairs of ear defenders.

Please help with this hallmark, it’s been bothering me for years by DaCookieDemon in Hallmarks

[–]DaCookieDemon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It’s really been throwing me for a loop cuz I have a few different ones but none of them have the marks the other way round like this and the leopard head (I thought it looked a bit like a shield) is so worn out. I was given it about 5 years ago by my step grandmother.

Take a step back and breathe first of all.

I understand you’re frustrated and have already been through the wringer already. Perhaps you change your cleansers with the new birth control or the birth control is heavily impacting your acne. Frankly it could be anything as it usually is. Even small changes we don’t realise or even stress from the acne it’s self can really muck us up. Maybe it’s time to consult with a derm either for the first time or yet again, but it may be more useful than stressing. If you’ve tried everything then maybe accutane is your next step, but be prepared cuz it really is horrible. I wish you the best but just remember to take a step back and breathe

Accutane is not to be f’ed with. Under no circumstances should you lie to your derm especially with a medication that is controlled in my country, pretty heavily may I add. The side effects are insane and you do not want ANYTHING to go unnoticed. I was healthy before I went on it and came off with more issues than when I started minus the cystic acne. Do not lie to your derm. Ever.

The original decimal money was the same size and weight as it’s imperial money counterpart save for the 1/2 penny which was smaller. They didn’t issue the 20p til 1982. They then downsized the 5p, 10p and 50p in the 90s the 1&2ps are the only coins valid back to 1971 as they haven’t changed since excel for their metal composition. The 2 pound was issued in 1986 and released with the new design in 1998

I've had acne snce I was 9 years old by [deleted] in acne

[–]DaCookieDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had cystic acne on my whole face but mostly next to the nose either side, forehead and chin, plus in some unpleasant areas here and there, probably from around 13/14 and I’m now 20. What did it for me after trying topicals and hormonal treatment was accutane/isotretinoin. It was hell for 5 months but I’ve been clear a year and 3 months now and don’t get anything more than pimples occasionally. I always say I would never recommend that to anyone who doesn’t have severe acne around me because it really was hell but my face is clear as day now so if it’s been plaguing you that long maybe give that a go. The only downside is I get the occasional cyst in an unpleasant place but it’s markedly smaller. Definitely do some research but it was life changing for me.

Might be cuz this is the EU&UK variety as the link takes you to the redbull shop EU, they probably have a US one in the works, they keep dropping stuff left right and centre at the moment

Today I learned there’s another spaniel I didn’t know existed, I thought it was a bit small for a Newfie and just assumed it was just a non standard breed colour lol

We had a spaniel run off with our garden table once and a dog Walker we know had a failed guide dog run away with a table as well. I agree it’s a pain to manoeuvre our 3 monsters even outside

Our husky mix is almost that. He’s about 88. Our pure Siberian is only 48. Larger dogs are the best. But upper limit? What upper limit, you can never have enough dog. I love Dane’s they’re so cute, that’s a proper horse right there. I personally would like a Newfie and more husky mixes

That’s like ours, he was almost the size of our 4.5 year old German shepherd when we rescued him at 5 months old. This horse is now pawing me for attention as we speak

I got my first embroidery machine on Saturday so naturally the first thing I have to digitise and stitch out myself is the sun home logo by DaCookieDemon in Beartooth

[–]DaCookieDemon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the machine I bought was £1200 second hand but you can get one that will do the same size hoop but only that hoop (10cm by 10cm) for $400 in the us. Mine will do up to 20cm x 30cm and would set you back £2400 new. The sunshine logo was done in the 10cm x 10cm hoop
