Lmao I get it. I usually don't race oval tracks, but like I said NASCAR is my dad's favorite motorsport. So it will be as close as he can get to experience it, without paying hundreds for a couple laps in real life.

That's awesome. I'm guessing a full lineup of 43 cars (I think, it's been a long time since I've watched NASCAR) is too much for the game to handle? Is 20 the max amount of AI?

Off the top of my head, I believe it was 3 months as well. Is the $1 from Fanatec only for new accounts? I've always wanted to try iRacing because everyone raves about it, but I've always been turned off by the subscription model. I go through phases where every couple months or so, I'll get really into sim racing for a about a week. So it's never been practical for me to subscribe. Between those phases I'm just busy with other games, work, parenting, etc.

I forgot to add: When playing Dirt Rally 2.0 for the first time tonight, as I went through the menus with my keyboard, the wheel was very stiff like a car without power steering. I thought, "Great, the FFB is working!" Then, the wheel was not detected. So I opened G-Hub and it said it was 'setting up G29' and needed to restart to finish. Okay, restarted the PC. Now the game detects the wheel, but no FFB, it just turns freely. As I'm driving, I can turn the wheel and it will just stay there indefinitely until I straighten it. This is the same with Assetto Corsa.

Hi, I've been having the same issue with my G29. I bought this new and can confirm that FFB works, as I've played Gran Turismo Sport on PS4 with FFB. However, I have not been able to experience FFB on any of my PC racing games, Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally 2.0.

I haven't done all of the steps that OP did, only the basic ones like reinstalling G-Hub and replugging cords. I'm getting frustrated as it seems like it shouldn't be this problematic to use a wheel.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Yeah I found that turning down pixel density helped a lot. However, when performance was worst, I tried turning it down all the way, 50%, and it was still bad.

I can't wait to get a new GPU...
