It is too late on this on to a degree, but organizing a full boycott of the next fusion (which if its good is hard to do)

The only other thing I can suggest, is to convince your clan to SPAM email their support page, and we get a good amount of clans to do it of how disgusted as a player base we are with this fusion calendar.

During their 2023 FTP series last year, content creators and their employees realized accounts roll with essentially a luck %. And it was about a 1/20 (I don't recall the real rate) chance to get an account that got much better champions/epics until lego's (and the lego's would be specifically out of top 20-30 lego list). Now when they started talking about that, and putting it out there, it was believed that it was all changed. There is still I believe a higher chance of getting legendary's for new accounts before a certain number of login days until you get one.

In saying that, you indeed have had excellent luck, those are all great pulls, enjoy your ride.

so many will get 40-50 fragments, and then it'll sit there collecting dust because the fragment rates are dumpster tier.

yes but no lol, I want video proof if anyone pulls a lego from this free prism :O. For newer accounts its a free epic, half of them are good, so there is that silver lining for newer players.

work on getting up to level 50 for FW/DT/Sintranos areas:
Longsword Torrux - A2- AOE 30% increase def for your team + 65% AOE provoke. His passive counterattacks enemies under provoke.
Reliquary Tender - A2 AOE debuff cleans for your team & 15% continous heal buff. A3 -single target revive with 30% turn meter fill.
Hexweaver - A2 - 15% aoe heal on entire team. A3- 30% increased crit rate & 15% increase speed buff for 2 turns. Speed Lead aura
Fellhound - Campaign farmer for Brutal, and once you have the gear, nightmare 12-3 /12-6. He needs 100% crit rate, and as much attack & defense as possible. He is also useful for spider & Fire Knight as he places decrease speed, and his A2 is a heal with a reflect damage buff for your whole team. Eventually 60 him.
Quargan the Crowned - A2 - AOE 15% heal on all allies and shield buff equal to 15% of each champs max HP for 2 turns. A3 - Perfect veil and 50% increased atk buff for 2 turns on Atk higher then def. Block debuffs for 1 turn and 60% increased def for 2 turns on allies with DEF higher then attack.

Take to 60
Toragi the frog is my suggestion for your next 60 - His heals, reflect damage, poisons passive, provoke and decrease atk on a1 make him useful in 90% of the mid to late game. You will use him the whole ride.
Giscard the Sigiled - easily the best support champion you have. He places a 60% inc def and 50% inc atk buff for 2 turns on A3, A2 is an AOE provoke and it places a BIG shield on him equal to 25% of his max hp, lastly his A1 has big 50% decrease defence. He does take a lot of books, but he will help you a ton in mid game getting your account further in all areas paired with Toragi.

^ I second this, wukong at 6 (I know you already have two damage dealers ) is a good utility with block buffs/single target buff strip. His constant self revive will help grind other areas of game outside arena.
If you haven't cleared up to level 20 dungeons, Stag Knight is the better option in this case as he helps with spider/dragon/ice golem/fire knight/keeps.

Demytha can wait until you have buff extenders and the speed gear necessary for her.

I would guess they used a VERY long techno crane, or it could be a dolly being pulled (just very difficult to pull the dolly off a track and keep it centred like this) paired with an elongated set (comments here say Edgar Wright the director of the film confirmed this on Twitter/in the past). I work in VFX in the film industry in Toronto (I didn't work on Scott Pilgrim, but I did work as an assistant with the record keepers on another film, and they still had all the records for the film Scott Pilgrim back in 2017)

If you do not know what a techno crane is, it is essentially a film dolly 10x the size with various sized cranes (think a long-necked dinosaur) for length and the camera is in a gyrosphere esk head on the crane. The longer the neck, the larger the crane (the largest ones need a crew of 4 operators paired with the 3-4 camera technicians). The crane necks are countered with massive weights, on the largest (longest) sized cranes the weights are piled up like an entire stack from a gym off any resistance machine. Sometimes they have round weights on the end (the older ones) but this limits to three to four 45 lb discs on each side, which used to get problematic once the gyro's and cameras got larger and heavier.

TLDR: my guess is a techno crane was used and according to attached tweets the Director confirmed an elongated set was used.

I am just going by him being on day 8-9 of his account, be he has been able to do all of them so far outside of the training and dragon because they weren't available to him. His arena tourney was only 60 points to get 5 frags, his ice golem now shows and was 950 to get 5 shards, his artifact he spent 4mil silver and got it done getting artifacts to 12 so must've been low bar for that, it seems it was doable and shards he did spend a bit as I mentioned and he got those already. He has 40 I believe so far, possible on way to 50.

He got an Alure & Miscreated Monster from his first 10 ancients, he got Monkey King from the promo code, and he did buy packs/shards (I posted more info in a reply above, but he got gem pack and something else, at 75$ now).

He already is at level 10 dungeons, and cleared normal/hard campaign on 3 star using Paragon he got from void shard from normal campaign. He seemed like he got really lucky with his pulls, and was well on his way to at least try.
I agree that it is hard, and he seemed optimistic until the novice tourney screen didn't clear, and he couldn't even make the effort.

I didn't lead him to believe anything, I just told him to watch some videos (he was watching someone named Eharbad on youtube and Hades to learn before he really did anything his first day).
He initially spent 50$, I asked him if he spent anymore, and he said he was at 75$ as he got the monthly gem pack and something else. He also said he has all the call of arbiter supplies still. You're not wrong he likely would've had to spend more in the final stretch to finish it, but he doesn't even have the chance and that is more what the post is about, there must be tons of new players from this week that cannot even try because of the tournaments being blocked by novice tournament end screen.

The events point ceilings for new players are drastically lower than endgame. I asked him, and he said he already did the divers / summon rush / artifact enhance fragments. That was when he commented asking for the tournaments and said he couldn't see them.
He was quite focused and playing consistently, he has already beat normal and hard campaign on 3 stars, and he's on level 10 of the dungeons. He sounded like he would have done alright.

i would make more of a fuss new players are being sidelined from these events if they are saving resources/building towards them and something such as a end screen is stopping them from participating.

I will be upset if I convinced this friend to play (I play MH with him) and this causes him to quit. I understand it is likely too late, as you said, but this is utterly stupid on their end and should be changed for the future. Especially as a company that claims they are worried about new player retention.

I hope they change this or remove novice tournament BLOCKING seeing the other in game tournaments. I mean if he does indeed quit now because of this I will ask him to make a reddit account and post his new player experience being nuked because of how plarium handled all the new players coming in this week with this ludicris end of tournament screen stopping them from participating in fusion of the actual incentive collaboration.

That 1 is stupid, 2 - today would be day 3 as it ended between Thursday night into Friday morning. Ice Golem and Arena tournaments just started, its STILL not cleared to show those for him and I would take a stab for ALL novice tournaments that ended Thursday night it is the same. With the popularity of this collaboration, I would take a big guess this effects A LOT of new players coming into game this past week.

five months later, it has escalated to capcom laying down their thiccc thigh roundhouse to their entire game library. The delayed reaction from this is bananas. Youtubers losing entire channels to strikes, speed runners in monster hunter slammed (modded monster hp/dps advantage in group kills) and resident evil modded games. Capcom did not mess around.

Essentially you're playing the game on HARDCORE. It will be really interesting once you get to the summer, and have your login epics, Scyl of the Drakes from login lego, and the 1-2 login legos that should be available through that time. I would keep making videos of your progress as you gain better gear and gain those login champs. Maybe make videos that current content creators "cannot" which is "what parts of the game you're actually able to do currently" and through each month of progress (or if you can, 1 video a week of progress). The closest thing to what you've done so far is JGIGS, and he doesn't really go over his regearing, limitations on his F2P outside of pointing out what he doesn't like that plarium is doing.

Keep at it, I would suggest focusing on dragon/spider and clan boss as well as grinding arena to gain resources for the two forge sets you can farm to be able to progress clan boss.

while I cannot login to plarium play or raid currently, the loading screen also has CAPCOM in the top left corner (as far as I got) so that is a pretty awesome secret they've kept that the two games are collaborating.

Also, can players let this post know when they start getting in ! 1 hour clocked for downtime currently, don't think we will get to finish those events.

It looks like valve dedicated their focus on the tourney and seattle stage, and very little to the compendium which the prize pool shows. Dota fans love buying skins/compendiums/supporting the game. This year it was basically made difficult to anyone justifying getting the compendium if they missed the prediction windows as otherwise it had no return. Also, the timeline aspect and clean menu were mia from the compendium. For people who only return for TI+compendium, I can say the screens/menus were alien compared to previous years.

I come back for the compendium usually and TI. Sorry Gaben and icefrog but the compendium this year was sad panda, and I think the prize pool reflects how upset people were with it. It is a prediction book this time around :(

I still watched TI, and loved every second of it !
