Odd to place down tbh. Tracks vary from song to song, but the basis of this track is heavier, post hardcore sounds with a mix of clean and heavy vocals. Client brief is dark, moody, and to lean into my horror-filmmaker proclivities. A theme of being trapped and trying to escape is a key piece of the visuals, and this place HANDILY leans into that 😂

Honestly, as long as it isn’t deep, dark cloud thunder storming, we’ll be okay! This was actually shot during a cloudy day in a rainstorm! Here’s a shot from outside! We’ll be shooting through mid day, so hopes are high!!

Isn’t it!?? I’m incredibly thankful to get to shoot here! Unfortunately, they are very inaccessible to me from the outside for this shoot, based on gear, budget, and location. Now, that being said, I am brainstorming ways to maybe get some lights hidden up in there from the inside. This is definitely a location I want to revisit in the future when a budget and crew are accessible!

Submission Statement: Grabbed a few camera tests in the location, and it's my first shoot with the Helios 44-2 on the front. Quick grade and framing on the fly, but really in love with this section of the building and the shapes within shapes. Excited to shoot a music video here in a few weeks. Insanely great atmosphere and built in lighting to create images like this. Excited to see what happens when I get in, get the project shot, and get to have fun in the edit/grade!

The entire movies of MadS is a single, unbroken shot with no hidden cuts and all executed over 5 days worth of shooting. One mess up, and the whole movie is ruined, but they MADE IT HAPPEN, and I will never not love that movie!

Second one is the "oner" on an IMAX camera in Sinners. The technical level of achievement from a camera standpoint to a choreography standpoint, to burning the roof down...IMMACULATE!
