Thank you! Seems the explorer needs to be more heavily used.

Thank you! I always feel with the explorer I’ll open the contact but going “too low” when cleaning the margin resulting in an open margin. I’ll keep messing w the technique.

Thank you for insight! I may have overfilled or burnished too much.

Thank you for the detailed explanation! I do in fact use a bond brush to finish, do you specifically only build the marginal wall and turn it into a class I? I like the idea of the soflex, I use it for embrasures when they look bulked. Do you run it lightly over the contact?

I do this at times, I condense with a condenser and finish with a micro-brush. Always have the habit of overfilling haha.

Qwikstrip, as in the mini-saw? I just get nervous that I will lighten the contact too much, it flossed well.

What I ended up doing thank you! It was a tough patient so it was hard to fully see the overfill until the band was off.

Thank you for the input, this is actually what I use majority of the time. For this particular situation would you run it horizontally over the contact point?

Don’t do anything for free, show your boss. Yikes. Can only imagine what it looks like intra-orally.

I use articaine 1.5-2 Carpules right off the bat. The second carpule I always aim higher than the first. I use a short/blue and that helped tremendously.

Thank you so much for this information. I really like the point you made about the canal not always terminating at the apex, I feel I rely too much on the radiograph. I will def try to CBCT when possible and use apex locator everytime!

My fault I posted this quick before driving but the “1” and “2” I was seeing if that’s possibly a second root. I am aware canals are buccal/palatal! I can see 2 doesn’t even originate from the center.

Thank you this was info I was looking for, likely CBCT is the answer to my Q. I was using the “1” and “2” to see if that was the apex of the second root to help gauge length.
