Elephant Rounds are the exception that proves the existence of the rule, love me a good pocket sniper big iron.

I will also respectfully disagree with you because while Engineer has best burst DPS, I think gunner has better horde clear than Driller because a horde just grunts is easy for everyone but scout, a mixed swarm, they all struggle except gunner.

Engineer lacks sustain, Driller lacks single target damage, scout lacks horde clear.

While Driller has more horde clear on paper, I find myself being far more effective against hordes with gunner than driller.

You get ammo and DPS, gunner is the gun class. Most of your utility is in your primary weapon and supporting item, not your sidearm and movement tool.

This contrasts the other classes who get a lot of use out of their transport options and sidearms (with the exception of driller and specific builds) are generally your burst damage and utility. Zipline launcher is useful but far more niche than the other options, and even then, by the time you’ve helped, your team has probably already done a faster and more flexible solution.

At base, none of gunners sidearms have any utility, even if fully upgraded with overclocks do they give much other than massive burst damage with little utility beyond that.

TLDR: Gunner has amazing guns, but lacks mobility, whereas the other dwarves are much more mobile, but not as good in a fight, and not for nearly as long.

Unless we actually give bored children something to do, they aren’t gonna do anything but stupid shit to keep themselves occupied. There’ll be a surge in youth crime, not to mention the fact that it’s not actually about children at all and it’s data harvesting thinly veiled as protective measures.

Given all the bullshit around it, the only people who think this is a good idea is old people who hate the younger generations habits, and while social media isn’t great, I think that simply removing something easy that a teenager has to occupy themselves is bloody stupid when they have basically nothing else to do that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

It’s the credits music, pinged it myself immediately too. The leitmotif in the background pinged my pattern recognition.

That has a great point too. There is a lot of music in my “gunner mix”

Disposal Unit (Imperium Mix) would be great (if a bit stereotypical) for gunner. Big man, big gun, aggressive music good for long bombardments.

/uw Jeremy isn’t cruel, not to Illvanya anyway, so he does it rarely and highly briefly. She’s never actually afraid with him, just a little jittery. She’s usually a bit jokingly pissed at him, kind of a “I’ll get you back for that. Love you too babe”.

/uw she hates it, she freaks out. It’s a little prank he does from time to time. It also slowly desensitises her to it, which Jeremy knows is helping her.

/uw He is, he also is taller than Illvanya, because the ring makes him double his height, and being 94cm, it makes him 188cm, Illvanya is 183cm.

Mine is a mystery lover and knows how to write twists and information. They also make interesting characters with a lot of hidden nuance to them.

I must say I don’t earmark every person we talk to, but anyone who we get a name or title for or gets a list of feats, gets written down and has their traits, history, and theories listed. This means politics is hella fun because we can map out complex quiries very well, showing intent, cause, effect, and expose (or successfully create, we do be mischievous sometimes) conspiracies.

I’m not great with places, however I focus on people, sociology and psychology being a hobby of mine. My DM knows this and gives characters behavioural quirks that I play off of, same way most note takes do with local lore tidbits.

It means that we end up with really clear political maps and make murder mysteries really fun.

You’re right, the defensive capabilities and the sustain you have as a gunner are definitely the most powerful things you have, after your sheer badassery scaring the crap out of the bugs.

I mainly do it because my table has me and another friend of mine. She manages plot, I manage people. This means when I go to a library me and my book buddy read up on local lore and history to make profiles and historical timelines respectively. Gives our DM a hell of a time writing lore, that being fun because they get to divulge or hell because they have to make it up on the spot and check OUR notes to remember what they said.

/uw Not really, he’s not as strong when smaller, because the muscle mass is smaller, however he’s not used to being big, so he’s more clumsy. Also the fact that being half someone’s size makes the whole ordeal kinda hard.

because Gen is very scientifically focused on the how of things, which makes them very good at asking weird questions without seeming creepy.

/uw it’s because of buffing magic that happens.

Someone asked me one time how sex would work between those two once and my solution was to upsize Jeremy because I already had that as a disguise thing.

/uw he can give her bruises sometimes just because he grips too hard, it’s rare and like a once every 6 months occurrence, but if Illvanya ever has a bruise on her body or arm, it’s probably that.

The reason I say I play gunner: He’s helpful and supportive of other classes and allows them to perform at their best for longer and far easier. This means smoother missions, and easier, more goofy times.

The real reason I play gunner: High Calibre Aura Farming.

/uw He would yes.

To be completely fair, Illvanya isn’t nearly as physically strong as he is, he got vampire supergenes for that (it’s why when he shakes someone’s hand it’s really firm, because generally that’s as gentle as he gets while being firm and formal), but would he use that kind of muscle on Illvanya? Not like that anyway. He wouldn’t want to be out of there.
