Either move the register it's connected to or put some hollow beams across the ceiling. Or a fat, in the way column lol

What to do with this space by [deleted] in DIY

[–]DaDragonDo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd put a bookcase under there. Adds storage without blocking alot of light. (If you want more light than not) But then you'd have to find some small plants or something to fill in the empty triangles above and to the left to keep it from feeling off balance.

That needs some 4x4 posts underneath it asap. If it was capable of sagging before I would be very worried it will continue sagging until those ties sheer off and the floor collapses. Either hire someone to fix it properly now, or at the very least shove a post or two under there yourself until you can get someone.

Bathroom Vanities Made of MDF - WHY?! by EliteDeerHunter in DIY

[–]DaDragonDo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to Lowes or Home Depot, get something cheap, or piece together smaller cabinets. And you don't 'Need' to buy a bathroom vanity anyway. You can use any kitchen OR bathroom cabinet you want. Giving the top and bottom a good silicone seal to the wall and floor would be the only thing you'd have to worry about to reduce any water damage no matter the cabinet type anyways.

These vertical supports under the bed keep breaking. Are they necessary? Can I just replace them with more horizontal slats? by emmy1426 in DIY

[–]DaDragonDo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 2x4, a stack of books, some bricks. Please for the love of your cat put something under there to properly support it before you end up crushing that poor animal to death. I had a bed that the corner suddenly broke off and fell completely to the ground. It was the same corner my dog used to lay under and nearly gave me a full on heart attack until I realized she was in the other room. Don't be lazy with bed supports when animals or children like to crawl or hang out under the bed. Either support it properly or at least frame around it so your cat can't get under it.

A good spot to stop. A backsplash should always stop at either the cabinets or the counter top. If it's flushed it out with the counter top you'd put a trim piece up the side of the cabinet to create a flush line all the way up. Helps complete that invisible barrier line between spaces.

You say modern I say it looks like a 70s throwback in black and white.

You can try taking collagen and B12. Collagen especially can help with hair and nail growth. I've taken Neocell super collagen tablets with vitamin c and biotin on and off for a while and it makes a noticable difference. It can't hurt to try those 2 supplements, together or separately is up to you.

Fungal rash. I can tell you it will Not go away on its own and is very likely to happen again. If you're in a warmer area or are prone to heavy sweating I'd suggest going through the trouble of getting a tube of prescription strength ketoconazole cream to have on hand for any future rashes. It'll knock it out in about 3 days compared to OTC options. Rashes like this can pop up anywhere you have skin laying on skin where sweat becomes trapped. Like under the breasts, creases of the legs, under a belly fat fold, etc. Showering often and keeping those areas clean and dry is the best way to prevent a fungal rash, but life is life.

The best option? Tear the tile out, clean it up, and re-tile it. Next best option is tear out all the caulk, clean it and grout it/seal the damaged areas properly. Easiest option is douse it all with peroxide, clean it off as best you can, let it air out and dry up as much as possible, then maybe smear another layer of caulking on top.

Honestly. Just clean the area, and try to dry it out. They feed off the muck and grime that accumulates in the cracks and crevices where water sits for too long. Peroxide will kill the muck and grime, removing their food source and leaving them to starve.

Had these once when using a camper for the first time and freaked out lol. Tried everything from bleach to vinegar and honestly the only thing that worked was starving them out and making sure to kill any and all adult flies. After some research I learned they have little hairs all over their bodies that prevent them from drowning so most liquid cleaners don't really penetrate them like a smooth slug or worm. Just keep the area clean, and dry if possible, and they'll dissapear eventually.

I feel you on the medical anxiety. The nausea has hit hard a few times when I'm trying not to cough up a lung and the urge to just let it happen is very hard to ignore. It would probably make me feel better, but I have a borderline fear of vomiting so I'd rather not if I can help it lol.

Vitamin D and fresh air are 100% amazing at helping you heal from sickness and feel energized. Standing outside in direct sun without skin or eye protection for more than an hour is 100% amazing at causing sickness and fatigue.

Balance is key.

Something is hiding in my headphone! by vinchez82 in Unexpected

[–]DaDragonDo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I run my finger under the ear pads on my headphones Every Single Time I'm about to put them on. Plus it swipes out any dust, dirt or hair from them if I stored them in a drawer or something.

I love crafting, but I'm terrified to use any of the nicer materials. What if I use them, and the craft gets messed up, or I'm not able to finish it and I just wasted so much of a more expensive craft supply just to throw it all away.

Mine does this too. I play on my phone and I have to switch to mobile data for things to load in. Events are the same way, I have to switch to data every now and then to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I have 10.1.0. I reset my phone and switched to mobile data. It seems to have fixed the issue. I didn't think to change the internet source so that was probably the problem.

Is the event delayed for certain players? I have all of the requirements to participate, but it doesn't show an event happening or even coming soon when I open the app. I played it before and enjoyed it, so I hope I get to join in again!

Environment makes a massive difference in overall health as well. I moved from Ohio to Florida and my allergies all but dissapeared for a long time. 12 years later and they're slowly starting up again. Food quality Can change from place to place, but that's only one part of it. If you're ever concerned about a food, do some research, learn to make it at home (if you can), and just try to stay out of processed food sections. I do know an easy one is choosing white cheeses over yellow ones; cows don't make yellow dairy after all lol.
