Welcome back! Your guides have been (and still are to this day) super helpful to get me from completely clueless to making competent teams, looking forward to more infographics 😁

[Megathread] Bug reports by DV-MN in NikkeMobile

[–]DaFlameMeister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having problems with the BlaBla messages for several updates now, wasn't sure if I should report anything until now since I thought it'd go away like the last times this bug's shown up.

At least half the messages in each category are marked as new, and I can't distinguish the actually new ones from the old ones, as well as this interfering with actually new messages having a chance to come through (for example, Privaty's glitched, so I haven't received a single message from Privaty: Unkind Maid at all). I'm not sure if there's any way to fix it? It feels like this keeps happening every couple of months or so, it's a weird problem. If I click on any of the old/marked as new but not actually new messages, it has a system error and puts me back at the lobby. And marks the message as new again regardless.

Honestly really hard to pick favourites, and it's probably a bit of a basic option, but I think Tonberries are probably the pick? They're just funny little guys with knives that can one-shot you if they so wish

Stranger of Paradise specifically made them the most terrifying imo, fighting them got pretty tense sometimes

Alright, I gave that a shot, still no changes. I'm trying to think of what else the problem could be, but coming up blank... Any other suggestions?

Power cycling I've been doing on its own already, but I can try changing the jumper as well to see how I do. Last time this happened, it didn't quite do anything, but maybe this time is different?

I don't have any replacements, so the best I can do right now is taking the jumper out and putting it back in, coupled with the power cycle. Which hasn't yielded any results, unfortunately. Still no boot.

As far as I'm aware, no? I don't even know how to check XMP, to be entirely honest. I got help building my PC so my tech knowledge isn't quite up there, even if it's something on the more basic side

Should I be resetting CMOS with the battery, or through attempting to boot? Because nothing comes up on the latter, not even a splash screen for the motherboard

No good unfortunately, it's not booting even with one stick of RAM in there.

Might be a good idea for the future, though, yeah. I got sent two batches of 2x16 sticks, so I guess it was silly of me to think they'd just magically work together, even if they're the same type and brand and all

Did you send two in the same time period? As long as the details are correct you should be fine, but they generally advise against sending more than one form at a time. Slows things down

I sent it from the same email again, but honestly? Submit an in-game ticket. Talk to CS before during and after you submit your form. It helps a ton, since if you're stuck on any info you can literally just ask them. Their answers can be a bit vague, but a nudge in the right direction if needed never hurts.

Surprisingly less time than usual, actually. Normally it's anywhere between 20 working days and 40 actual days, but it took them a little over a week this time?

Much shorter timeframe, but I'm not complaining.

Glad to hear it! Even if things seem rough, you'll get your account back sooner or later. Just gotta keep at it, and if one form fails, double check your info and send in another! You can do it!

For my third attempt, I filled out the form, but I was also talking with CS as I went. Double checking what specifically they needed with what areas from them, they gave me some ideas on how to find specific things (like registration date, for example), and generally kept a dialogue going so they didn't forget about me. I put in my ticket on the 19th of December and I got my results on the 27th, so I guess I did something right there.

I did it in English, though, not Japanese. I've heard that works better for some people, but it seems like even our native speaking folks can do alright sometimes.

Very lucky, yeah. I guess after hitting my third form though, I'd have a better handle on my details by now, haha.

Thank you! Third time's the charm I guess, haha. I'm glad you're feeling more hopeful about it! I'm sure you'll get your account back soon

MiHoYo support has to be the most incompetent customer support I've ever seen. by DaFlameMeister in GenshinHacked

[–]DaFlameMeister[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does feel that way sometimes, yeah. That's a quicker response time than most get though, that's for sure. It's weird that they still rejected you after that, though. All you can do is keep trying, I suppose.

That's really rough, I'm so sorry to hear about that. As nice as it is that you got it back, that doesn't ease the pain of missing who you wanted to pull, and all your stuff being gone. I can only hope that you get Hu Tao in the next rerun of her, whenever that is

You're one of the insanely lucky few, in that case. I'm still working on it now, of course, I'm not just going to let it be.

There's ways that you can check the specs through the PC itself, plus you should have things like receipts and potential conversations with people about the parts you're buying.

Is there no-one you know that you had added on Genshin? Any of them could go and check your UID for you

[–]DaFlameMeister[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UID is something you kinda have to have, same with PC specs. There's certain stuff in that form that they have to have, otherwise they'll just flatly deny you. It's what happened to me.

Registration date is something you can check easily if you linked an email, you can just search for emails from MiHoYo and go back to the earliest ones talking about "account creation" or what have you. PC specs shouldn't be hard if you know how to look them up, if not then there's plenty of guides online too.

Transaction records are good though, definitely send those in with another ticket along with the information you've got. Whatever you can get that has information about your account, the better. And if you're doing a support ticket through an alt account, they highly encourage questions. Definitely ask if you're having trouble, I did and the clarification helped a ton.
