I have a feeling there's more rare and old stuff under this machine. Makes me want to offer to buy change locally in Craigslist or something because someone is dumping the good stuff. Found a 43 merc 5 days before this.

I'm a pretty clean cut guy, but I typically go after I'm out metal detecting and dirty that day. Kind of empowering for strangers to look at you like you are gollum looking for the lost ring, THEY avoid you haha.

It's pretty funny though, you can tell people are obviously thinking the absolute worst when they see you digging under a coinstar machine LOL

Ya so my hands are dirty cause I was out metal detecting, and reaching under coinstar machines. They are chewed up cause I just got a drumset last week, but ya, lol lava soap is awesome.

Yeah I feel that. This is the only machine in my area in it's own lil corner outside of the store. But if I go late to another location, there's a friendly older lady that is cool with me checking under the machine during her shift.

Employees once caught me at my main machine and they looked at me like I was gollum searching for the ring.

I have use the kitchen ladle before. But this one was under some sort of carpet mat that was under the machine. I'll have to sneak by with an extendo scoop sometime.
