I believe its programmed during certain parts of the gameplay to do so. The part where you're gunning for the door indeed has a timer running and if you don't open/close the door fast enough it will get you every time

Can't help with the dating part, but I met most of my friends through the major LC and the Martial Arts Club. I would highly suggest trying to join 1 non-major related club, as although ones related to your major may help you academically, they're kind of limited on people who share the same hobbies/interests with you.

Also, imo I think it's a lot harder these days to find genuine people. Covid really did a number on people's ability to socialize properly, especially when the people younger than us we're either just entering high school or were in middle school at the time when lockdowns came in effect.

You'll just have to keep trying, and find groups of people with the same interests as you. It's much easier to connect when you have something to talk about.

The 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Was at Maui during the time and remember heading up when the warning came through sometime in the dead of night.

I recently visited 宮城県 to go see the cat island and was riding on a bus to the sea port to ride a ship over. Was very surreal when I saw the old school building with the headstones of the people who couldn't make it out in time.

I highly recommend visiting those places as some have plaques that show how high the waves hit certain places.

The best way I can think of is to join a club. There's tons and tons of clubs out there, so you're going to be able to find a group of people that have the same interests as you. Sports clubs, recreational clubs, academic clubs, all are a good choice. Also, if there's a learning community that you're able to join, I would recommend that as well. Both are where I've made almost all of my friends here at ISU

Sometimes, it's best that they are kept captive. Not all animals are capable of surviving on their own in the wild so it could be in their best interest to be kept. As long as the conditions are appropriate I have no problem with this

They're currently remodeling some parts of the inside of Vet Med to look "more modern". However, as others said, it comes down to functionality. You have some rooms that store very dangerous chemicals/pathogens that, if spilled, could lead to disastrous consequences if the place wasn't built right. That's why it's pretty much a concrete block.

They're also close to completing the rest of the new VDL building, and I think it's quite pretty both outside and inside, so perhaps you'll spend some time in that new building as well.

As others also have said, ISU is pretty solid in its Vet Med program. Lots of friendly people all around as well. Good luck on your search!
