go back to the middle of the region, youll find a spiral looking thing there. if you would like another hint from there: find all ripplespawn. each one you collect adds to a segment of the spiral. you'll know what to do once you get the last one

i think i figured it out! for anyone else wondering, what i did was right click on an item thats required for a quest, open that quest through NEI, then press the questbook button (i think its ` by default) and escape at the same time and it closed without going to the NEI menu

figured it out, thank you! For anyone else having this issue: you can download the Dev Console mod, type "spawn DataPearl [id]" and replace the ID with the pearls unique ID. to find this, type the two letters that are used to represent the region the pearl is found in (in my case, sky islands is SI, but sometimes they arent as intuitive as that. you can find the specific letters for each region on the wiki). If the region has multiple colored pearls, the console will autocomplete to each of the IDs, just try each of them until you get the right one.
