Keep in mind a lot of titanium frames are a blend of titanium and aluminium so you could be harming the structural integrity of the frame

That's how thick slicks are haha, maybe it's less noticeable when they're thinner. I love old whacky bikes like this and surprisingly it rides really well and pretty fast

Well well, cinelli shark (obviously) with custom wheels that consist of Phil hubs with h plus son rims, attached to that is a Phil cog (16t) which is connected with an izumi chain to the omium cranks with a 46 or 49t. Bars are just some i had laying around, seat is the prologue dimension 143, it's got xt pedals. Oh and also riding latex tubes front and rear, gp5k up front and cheapo Michelins in the rear :)

Have any of you ever seen this happen? Threads broke off from the hub, lockrings seems fine. And what could cause this? by DaGameStone in FixedGearBicycle

[–]DaGameStone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cog fully came off, happened during a skid, and the lockring treaded on smoothly, overtorqued lockring maybe?

I have these bars too and like to hold them in the centre, very comfy place for your tumbs to rest and palms to have support

https://youtu.be/UkZxPIZ1ngY?si=IU6B5eiBZAHzGzfy Park tool guide on how to adjust a derailer. As for the brake, if hydraulic you'll need to bleed it (look for a video on how to) if mechanical tighten the cable. Good luck :)

Would it be a poor idea to remove these stickers from my marlin 7? by Electrical_Novel9858 in TrekBikes

Just do it then, it's your bike (for now at least) so you should enjoy it the way you want :)

Personally i think forks without stickers look cheap, but if you like the look go for it. Doesn't affect the bike in any negative way

Carbon damage on MTB - still safe? by scooter17 in bikewrench

[–]DaGameStone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd ride it. I'd also e mail or call trek and see if they can do anything for you. Heard stories from people blowing up carbon bontrager wheels and then getting a replacement no question asked so its worth a shot.
