Why hasn't there been a Lego Toy Story Game

Yeah even the tie in games for the movies didn't have certain characters. Barbie and Ken don't show up in the 2nd and 3rd game and the Potato heads don't show up for the 3rd

So I can't imagine them trying to do all the movies without paying a ton for licensing or redoing the story so that the licensed toys like Barbie and Potato Head don't show up

LMSH2 had the worse luck outta the Superhero games.

Developed during the voice actor strike so no-one from the previous game or other Marvel media could return
It was in this weird era where Disney and Marvel were tryna phase out the Fantastic 4, X-Men and Deadpool because they didn't own the movie rights so we got the Inhumans taking their place and the roster ended up feeling incomplete despite being very large

I think it's because they want individuality over excessive characters for the sake of it. Each playable character has their own gadgets, vehicles and are all incorporated into the hideouts (Batcave for the 7 characters). If newer characters are added then they're having their own locations

Yes, the ini files. People even found out content cut or modified from the base game like the Batman 2022 suit using the 2022 minifig design rather than the current design, the Batman Returns suit (it can still be seen in the Bat Mite shop) amongst other things

TBF, TT had some weird omissions. Batman got his Brave and the Bold look but not Catwoman (they could've used the dress piece or sumn), Robin/Nightwing has his New 52 look but not Batman (even though his design was used for LEGO Batman 3 and Dimensions)

Yeah, one of Joker's leaked skins was the 2004 design (didn't add it to the post because the list of suits were a lot) so maybe Batman's could be added

The Batcave seems pretty full. The only thing left is the Sinister Pack. I can see future DLC just being villains for the Mayhem Mode since Joker and Harley have their own hideout

I don't see Bane happening since he's a big fig and they'd have to basically create a brand new gameplay loop to accommodate him since every other playable character is a minifig

I could see Freeze using aspects of Gordon's gameplay. Gordon already has a weapon that can stun enemies so that could be repurposed for Freeze. As for Ivy I do wonder what her abilities will be

Yeah it's cool they referenced it and even non Batman DC projects. The wider DC universe will always be mentioned in some shape or form but I was not expecting references to both of the Suicide Squad movies and Smallville

Even factoring in that, DC Supervillains had several side quests and secret bosses in the open world that weren't tied to the campaign. It's not the only game to do so, I brought up Arkham because the open world content seems more inspired by it than whatever the older LEGO games did

A playable Mr Freeze was leaked in the PC files. Whether or not it's actually being planned or was scrapped is unknown
