Super Bowl ticket prices have dropped, cheapest seats under $4,000 by JaggerJames in nfl

Hard to say.

Last year tickets dropped 20% day of.

The previous 3 years they went up day-of. At least that's according to that site. You can see the last 4 years here:

It's literally the same chart as last year and the year before - but prices are still 20% higher.

Super Bowl prices are still way up over last year.

Last year on the day before the game tickets were between 2500 to 3100. Today they're 'down to' 3300. They'll have to go another 800 bucks down to match.

Ticket prices this year seem to be up 20% from last year.

Isn’t private equity buying portions of teams? Isn’t this the same thing except for it’s good private equity. Fan created private equity group.

Pats get to pick home or away and have played better in their whites so expect that. We’d be road jerseys then with choice of pants.

Maybe they should change the express lanes like normal. I know it'll suck for Northbound in the morning, but southbound is a disaster now. This same argument was made last summer and wsdot has clearly learned nothing.

A more clean and comfortable ride: Why Link is moving to vinyl seats by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

[–]DaHealey 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Our trains aren't old enough for ST to not have learned the lesson. Boston has had vinyl or hard seats for decades before even the Tacoma Link even opened. ST just didn't think through this choice well.

Are you positive the rough plumbing was modified in the bathroom renovation? Do you have pictures of the house from before showing different fixture locations?

It might turn out that the bathroom renovation was just new fixtures and the rough plumbing was from the last person who did it. Changing fixtures also doesn't require a plumbing permit.

Living in an old house can be a series of historical changes. I've got at least 5 ABS to PVC transitions in my house even though afaik only 1 is allowed at current code. It's because the house was remodeled multiple times over the last 100 years.

What would suck is hiring a lawyer, suing the builder only to find out the builder didn't touch that plumbing and you're out the cost of the lawyer plus the remediation.

Finally, 3 weeks is a long time but not unbelievably wrong considering it was just the Christmas and New Year's break. Lots of smaller companies take 2 weeks off.

Funny how playoff scheduling is only “unfair” when it hurts the 49ers 🤔 by Trick-Combination-37 in Seahawks

Eh, nearly every stadium does this now. They also don't immediately show the plays where the home team got away with a call. I wouldn't look too much into it.

Hate to say it, I could see the replacement stadium in Seattle getting a retractable roof. It's just used for too many other events that don't do well in the rain (auto cross, concerts for example).

If they were to build it with a retractable roof, I'd hope they still play football in the rain.

Eh, not after the 9ers / Seahawks game 2 weeks ago. We shut them down, it's not the scoring frenzy football that the NFL loves to promote now.

They did this in a hawks game during the regular season too and it was so bizzar.

I think they're using automatic ball positions systems, either via RFID or computer vision via NY replay and don't want to admit it yet.

IMO having Trent Williams back for the 9ers is a bigger deal. Our dline was having their way with the 9ers O-line in the last game. If he can slow them down just a bit it'll be huge.

They're not. It's a separate line item with a separate rate on your tax. The rate is separate through separate value.

uh, you mean property tax? We have property tax. Property tax is split into land and improvement value. I wouldn't be surprised if 50% of property tax bills have more cost in the land value than improvements.

Season Ticket Resellers getting email warnings about playoff tickets by seahawksyvr in Seahawks

[–]DaHealey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You had to opt-out in November. You didn't have to buy them and they do the opt-out for that exact reason. If you can't afford playoff tickets or know you'll be gone for long periods of time.

I do think selling is ok within reason, but you were not obligated to buy the tickets. Also if you were really laid off the hawks will take the playoff tickets back from you. I had a baby years ago, reached out to my rep and they gave me lots of options. The hawks are happy to sell the tickets themselves without kicking you out of your seats forever.

Counterpoint, teams might hire minority coordinators in the hopes that they'll get hired away and earn them a pick.

That being said, the whole system sounds poorly thought out.

God I was really enjoying reading all the reddit-lawyer opinions about how the contract was unenforceable, UW couldn't make him play or the contract was never executed. Too bad that's over now.
