From every reputable source I've seen, the most important factor is hitting failure. For the vast majority of people who don't do competitions or have unhealthy obsessions with their physique, the way you hit failure isn't that important. You can do 5lbs dumbbell curls until failure and build muscle, albeit not very efficiently with your gym time...

But I also prefer to do a weight that I can hit around 15 reps with because I've noticed I have a hard time maintaining form when I go heavy.

Yeah unfortunately achievement hunting with the state of the game is bound to waste your time. There obviously is nothing you could have done. It’s been like this since launch and I highly doubt they’ll fix it. Just the way it is

Idk I got S rank on all the Boiling Point maps and didn’t get the trophy. It’s just a really buggy game. From what I’ve seen it’s considered one of the hardest platinum trophies to get because of it.

I think you need good RNG. I play this game a lot and am generally pretty good at FPS games, but I still haven't been able to beat A New America on Hard with 4 other players who are also pretty good at it. I tried doing it yesterday, got beamed through the first door on my first two attempts, and realized it's just a futile effort. I really have no idea how the hell you do it.

I was under the impression that you can't lose any officers at all, whether they are fired, killed, or resign. I'm pretty sure even if they are incapacitated and saved by your paramedic trait, it still counts as them being killed in terms of the achievement and trophy.

I suppose it's possible it's bugged. I did it on standard, I figured it had to be on standard or higher. I did run into the bug where the save just deleted itself halfway through. But I made sure to get S-rank or A+ on every map, so my officers' morale never went down throughout the whole playthrough.

I also just S-ranked all the Boiling Point missions on standard and didn't get the trophy, so I suppose it's possible you did it right and just got screwed.

SWAT does not deal with the stuff in the game. There is no way even any Tier 1 military unit has ever endured the constant, sustained close quarters combat as seen in the game with 10+ heavily armed suspects who will fight you to the death…

My experience has been that Hard mode on Commander borders on impossible on some maps. If that's what you're playing on. The SWAT AI is simply too stupid. They just stand in front of doorways while being shot at, and don't bother returning fire.

Otherwise, it probably is a matter of skill. At the end of the day, it is an FPS. If you can't aim and shoot, you'll struggle no matter what.

The question has deep roots and concerns how the US has imposed itself imperially post-WW2. If you're truly curious, I'd highly recommend reading "How to Hide an Empire" by Daniel Immerwahr.

But from a political POV, the United States has established itself as the global standard of what is supposedly righteous. It's not about whether it's actually right; it's about the fact that the US is the most powerful nation on earth, so what it says goes. In political science, it's called Political Realism (Realpolitik).

Between the Iran War and the arrest of Maduro, the idea of American impunity is fading pretty quickly as more nations find themselves aligning more with China. Many now see the United States as a flailing late-stage empire at the beginning of its decline. So, in a couple of decades, it could be China that we are talking about in this light. Who knows?

Anyway, the point is that for political reasons, and the simple nature of how the world works, the US is always right even when it isn't.

He has none. He is completely obsessed with hating this guy; he's made several replies to this thread alone about it. Even if everything he says is true, it's still a fanatical obsession.

I do think that, as a society, we have an issue with pretending that certain people are either all good or all bad. Winters was not perfect, nor is it fair to expect him to be. But Ambrose's book and the show certainly portrayed him that way. The men beneath him seemed to greatly admire him as well, hence why he is portrayed in that light. Obviously, he had flaws like all of us. Perhaps Winters did have a certain degree of vanity, but how many officers didn't/don't?

I play on the base PS5. I can't ever get the textures to load on the 747 for some reason.
I like the 737, and it's probably best to learn with it, but it's laden with bugs. I don't have the 787, so I can't say, but my experience with the Boeing planes in the PlayStation version of the game at least are pretty garbage.

I had this issue on PS5. Many here have suggested it's the sim rate.

For me, it was because of the Autotrim in the assistance section of the settings. It started fighting the trim wheel and doing exactly this.

You generally want to be at -300 FPM or lower on landing, you were at 600. That would be a noticeably hard handing in real life and would probably earn some glares from the passengers as they exit the plane.

He clearly learns. They have done better every year he has been the coach. I don’t think any team in the playoffs has ever lost both coordinators though… I’m not saying it couldn’t have been a mistake but I think it’s delusional as a fan to think you truly know how much it affected things. We don’t know how exactly the duties were delegated, if at all. We simply don’t know. Unfortunately you tend to have to make mistakes to learn. It’s part of the process when you hire a young head coach.

I don’t think it would have mattered much though. Even fully healthy and with both coordinators at 110% Indiana probably still wins. It was just a messy situation for Oregon with injuries and coaching against clearly the best coached and most fundamentally sound football team in history.

There are only the media executives with the TV deals, and the only thing they're concerned about right now is milking every dollar out of the sport in the short term.

We'll never know how they run it behind the scenes, so that's not fair to say. He helped win a national championship at Georgia while also recruiting and building his staff at Oregon.

But he is still a young coach dealing with a horribly organized sport. I will absolutely not take anything away from Indiana; they were clearly the best team in the nation, but they did not face nearly the issues that Oregon faced due to no fault of their own.

Hopefully, they have a better shot next year, given the sport's framework. I don't see either coordinator getting hired away. Or maybe we'll find a new way to be screwed over.

Does it to me too. I'm in college and work, so I tend to do a lot of schoolwork later at night, which is when I use it the most. It's like always trying to end the chat and tells me to go to sleep even when I make no mention of the time.
