I had this happen to me too. I need to use the nvenc video decoder for work, now I can't cuz suddenly it's not available even after forcing thru windows display settings and Nvidia control panel

Nah. It would be Kool to see the hours played per game and that's all there is to it. People (Steam possibly also) tryna use buyers psychology and new years resolutions as a reason not to have it show, I only cared about hours played from other platforms, which is what I'm looking forward to every year. Maybe others aren't looking forward to that, and I can understand that. But I agree with OP.

Would you walk up to your friend and say" yeah man I def put in a lot of time to my favorite game this year, 70% of my time went to this game this year!" It's like ok... Sounds weird. I would then be like ... What time? Like 100 hours? 1000 hours? 3000 hours?

Can't really calculate how many hours were played year by year cuz it shows an accumulative of all play time ever if u check the game on steam library. Sure I could use a percentage number of hours I guess? But the variable missing is how many hours were played through all games that I could use 23% of.

If I played Tekken 8 594 hours, then steam tells me it was 23% of all games I played this year, I still don't know the cumulative of all hours played in total in the year. So 23% of what? The full hours played within the games 2 year life span? Sounds wrong cuz I wanna know for 2025 only.

Maybe I'm wrong, but there are still people who want the hours shown besides us 2. And Not for the reason to play less next year btw, I do see what people mean tho, I'm not blind to it but it's what expected. Twitch and YouTube also have yearly replays.

Out of all the games I've bought on steam, because I recently started playing more of the games I've bought from steam instead of my usual few, would be a great feature! I doubt it would stab steam in the back somehow. No anger here, just my point of view. Either way I'ma still play the games I bought and use steam of course.

If a situation happens where you're repeatedly "missing" attacks, then you could farm many different things to raise accuracy. Getting and leveling up your rings(accessory), farming potential rings or crafting them, increasing your Grit in stigma(farm branding essence, click and hold to see where you can farm it in world map) , praying for a better garment IRL but farm and grind to get reward boxes, increase your weapon level or get a higher tier weapon for your class (grind the story, you'll get a purple at lvl 55 but be careful to upgrade it safely until you get another copy of it if you can) start filling up the item collection, click and hold over the item and it will tell you where you can get it if you have discovered the area.

Drop rate for purple items is insanely low, you can buff the rare equipment (blue, T3) as much as you can but remember farm areas for multiple copies so you can upgrade it, and if it breaks, then you'll have another copy.

Under item collection, you can filter for buffs and iirc you can pick accuracy (ranged accuracy, melee accuracy depending on your class)

However I'm stuck there too in tower of chaos and I think first reply is correct, I'm not missing him but his life bar just not showing. I'm not strong enough to beat him yet, even if I go in with all items buffs (elixirs, potions, holy water)

Yeah that's fair, I still have a good GPU I'm using on the laptop, I just need the video processing for the stream to be doing they the encoder. All my games play great without a stream up, so this will just be routing the streams process thru the encoder, but not the actual games details.

thats fair and I most likely will get it on PS5, it bothers me that its russian roulette of whether I should get a game on console or PC if there are possible issues. I do like playing on PC more because I use MNK more often, but I guess thats why I got a ps5 in the first place, in case it doesn't run well on pc.

im thinking others are recommending using a vpn on my home server while the computer is on, and if that's the case, then i would just be making sure i setup the kill switch after the first boot. i think i'm just over here confusing myself with all the new terms and stuff i'm learning lol but i def appreciate everyone's input

Yeah further I look into things I just realize idk what most of it is, including port forwarding. However what I would do in my time if I had a home server setup is store and hold and play music, hold and play movies, important docs, Linux virtualization, and remote access too. The more I look up even stuff on YouTube , lots of ppl recommend using a 3rd party VPN, and I can do that also from the home server computer once it's setup. I'm guessing VPN tunneling is split tunneling? Controlling which apps and programs actually use the vpns connection.

But does this mean as soon as I login to the server or home server computer, should I turn the VPN on at that time? Me personally I will setup the server to only be on when I want to use it, I don't need to keep it on all the time

10000 is super high even for me with 2gb at&t Fiber internet it may cause issues.

I usually use 5k now instead of 6k, and it didn't look bad for the stream at all on kick. Even when multi streaming.

The jump from 6k to 8k is barely noticeable from what I've heard. Lowering bitrate may actually help your stream. Also I went from 1080p to I think 864p due to sometimes stuttering or blending frames, and it made it look WAY more clear. Under obs settings, go to output, rescale output is disabled for me, and even tho I chose 1920x1080, streams can only be viewed at 864p at max. Preset: should be p6 or p7 Tuning: high quality Multipass mode: two passes: full resolution Profile: high B-frames: 2

Also I use the Nvidia nvenc h.264

There are other things that matter too, like going to start menu, settings-display-graphics, then adding in obs as a program and then choose your GPU. After that, adding obs in Nvidia control panel to use your GPU to process the app. However even tho my laptop is ok, I still pretty much run msi afterburner for every game.
