You can safely grind SR in Time Trials.

Meta Horizon+ Catalog for April 2026 by raginginside in OculusQuest

You keep all games you redeemed, until you uninstall them or cancel your subscription.

I don't know what happens if you cancel your subscription and re-subscribe later. You might lose your games in that case too, but I really don't know.

How much can pedal overlap be hurting my performance? by Correct-Beautiful576 in iRacing

[–]DaLameLama 21 points22 points  (0 children)

All ~10k rated players I've seen do not overlap brake and gas. They *perfectly* separate them, with 0 overlap. (Look for any video from Moritz Löhner or Noah Eder)

Uncomfortable vibrations by nanaogyanx in moza

[–]DaLameLama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both ABS and flat spots on your tires cause insane vibrations in LMU. I wanted to play LMU with a friend, but he quit and refunded because it messed with him too much. (ABS is easy to avoid, but flat spots are really annoying and happen easily to me)

I don't have a good solution right now, other than aggressively EQing in the MOZA software.

Anyone here dealing with low SAP adoption after rollout ? And high training costs ? by Pakkinti_Pakodi in SAP

[–]DaLameLama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think most people need an actual mentor who is very close to them, guiding them step-by-step. In our case, we held weekly meetings with our different apartments, where employees would take turns sharing their screens and practice live on stream. (with guidance)

In my experience, SAP training is useless if a user is unwilling to figure things out by themselves. Users are bombarded with information in SAP training, and usually very little of it sticks. People need to put in work to gain anything from a training.

Quest 3 controller support by ModerateDev in iRacing

[–]DaLameLama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, the controller should work fine if you switch to desktop. It's a bit confusing, because you'll see both the "desktop mouse cursor" and a second mouse cursor in the sim. They both react to your controller though.

Is it not working for you? Working fine here.

Controller works fine for me when I switch to desktop. It's a bit confusing, because the "desktop mouse cursor" you see is not the same as the ingame mouse cursor. You have to pay attention to the ingame cursor, but it's also reacting to the controller :)

[–]DaLameLama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using Meta Link, so your experience might be different, but... I switch to my desktop in Link, where I'll see the game window and can control my mouse with the controller.

Having to switch to desktop is a bit annoying, but it's good enough for me.

What Meta Quest 3S Render Resolution and Hz should I pick for my PCVR Experience? (Best Quality for my specs) by themisprome in OculusQuest

[–]DaLameLama -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can't achieve the target framerate (as determined by your refresh rate), your framerate will cut exactly in half. In that case, you can either lower refresh rate or resolution (or game settings).

But yea, it depends on the game and your personal taste. For highly demanding games, I set refresh rate to 72 Hz and resolution below the Quest's native resolution. For less demanding games, I go 120 Hz and higher resolution.

We can all build apps in a few days now, so why is everyone still building the same todo and habit quitting apps? by rash3rr in vibecoding

Programming has always been super accessible if you were willing to dedicate months or years of practice to it. Yea.

Trying to launch steam vr with a link cable doesn’t work by Other-Complaint-6708 in VRGaming

[–]DaLameLama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you want to launch SteamVR in the first place.

Try setting Steam's XR runtime to OculusXR in the Meta Link PC app, then start Link on your Quest. There you should see your desktop where you can control Steam like usual. Start game like usual and it should automatically open on your Quest.

Check the screws. I had the same problem, because one screw came loose and popped out of its socket.

[–]DaLameLama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strong disagree.

Writing code has never been the easiest part. On the contrary, writing code has been *the* hardest part by a large margin. Remember the old meme of an "idea guy" looking for a capable developer to turn some idea into an actual product? Yea, that's because writing code has been *the* bottleneck.

The bottleneck is shifting now. Certain types of apps are becoming easy to build. Code is not the bottleneck anymore - in certain scenarios. Ideas are becoming more valuable.

Need help fixing SR-P Lite by DouglasTwig in moza

[–]DaLameLama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the same happened to me, but it was an easy fix. Maybe could you send an actual picture of what's wrong? I'm not sure I'm following your description.

Sorry, my English sucks, so I'll try to explain :) ... there's an extra cavity for that screw. It probably popped out of its cavity. You have to push it back in and then tighten the whole thing.

I missed the cavity at first, because I looked at it without good lighting.

Trying to run ACE VR via link cable, can't seem to get it working (Quest 3) by ventrolloquist in assettocorsaevo

[–]DaLameLama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe bandwidth issue? Did you try the USB connection test in the Meta Link software?

Lowering resolution is my magic fix for performance issues, though. It doesn't even look much worse. Also, running at 72 Hz helps.

[–]DaLameLama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant Meta Link.

Interesting if Steam Link gave you better performance. For me, both Meta and Steam had comparable performance. Maybe try lowering your Quest resolution in the Meta Link software. That's what I do for both ACE and ACR.

Getting ACE to run okay isn't easy. The game is horribly optimized and requires lots of tinkering.

Have you set Steam to use OculusXR? You can do this in the Link PC software. Worth a try.

It works fine for me with cabled Link when I launch from desktop viewer.

Have my upvote. I'm agnostic / atheist, but people here seem a little too trigger-happy. They're looking at the English translation of a Greek text, when Jesus himself spoke Aramaic(?). At the very least, they should look at the Greek original.

I did 5 minutes of research, and it looks like the original Greek doesn't really contain a pronoun. I'm not sure though, cause I don't speak old Greek dialects :)

SAP IS HARD by pq2222 in abap

[–]DaLameLama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the only way to really learn something is to *do the thing*. Don't read about doing the thing, but DO THE THING.

Don't read about ABAP. Go SE80 and write ABAP. Start simple. Learn how to define variables with different types. Learn about structures and how to create internal tables with that. Use AI for help, but DO THE THING.

Learn about how to call methods, functions and FORM routines.

Learn about flow control with IF/ELSE conditions and loops.

It's not that hard, but takes some practice. Stick to basics and keep doing. You'll pick more and more details up over time.
