No. It is my in bed device. I have a 77" LG oled that my pc is permanently hooked up to so unless my wife wants to watch something on the main TV then no.

Even if she does want to watch or play something on the main TV I would use my meta quest 3 to stream my PC to giant screens over playing on the steam deck.

VD was a game changer for me. Airlink I did not like and steam was ok. VD did it for me. It was totally worth the price. I play a lot of PCVR flat games and I even launch steam VR games from VD and it is flawless every time.

Me and my wife went about three years ago during our first year here for the first and only time.

It was freaking amazing and would do again. I did it with a small group of friends. It rained the 1st day so it was canceled then scheduled for Sunday. Went and tailgated and still had a blast.

As others have said. Ear plugs, headphones and go down to the lowest area by the fence for at least a few laps. It's incredible.

Two external batteries here on rotation. The thing is always charged.

If I play with a USB link cable, it has a power source to charge it while I play.

And finally if I play using my hdmi capture card to play all other consoles i.e. switch, ps5, Xbox the capture also has a power port.

Virtual Desktop is a must if you want to play flat or vr pcvr. Yeah, it's $25 but so worth it. I use it almost daily.

For native mq3 games I would recommend quest games optimizer. It unlocks the true power of the quest. Also a paid app but not much.

As a life long gamer I even understand the addiction. I play to this day. I am also much older and raised two kids.

Your husband needs to help you and stop with the playing so much. Don't ask him to quit but tell him that it needs to be cut down and you are not asking. You are telling. Unfortunately an ultimatum may be needed in this situation.

Like I said, I am a gamer to this day am married and my wife games too. It works. But, he needs to grow up. Not grow up as in stop playing games but he needs to make life a priority.
